Powers: Komen has a slightly strange power to some. He is blind and must use the earth and nature to guide himself. He uses nature as his eyes by feeling the vibrations and such. He has excellent hearing. What is really "unique" about him, besides talking to nature is the fact that he has a supersonic screech. It helps him get around like a bat.

Personality: Komen is the type of kid that you'd look at and immediately think was 'emo'. He rarely ever gives a true smile and doesn't show his emotions too well. He's presumed to be an empty doll and the fact that he doesn't talk to most people just strengthens that.
In truth, Komen is just depressed since he is all alone in the world because his only family died in a tragic car accident. He's a little sick mentally and will withdraw himself from time to time if anything reminds him of his parents or so. He doesn't ask anyone about their families because he really can't bare to hear about them.
Komen is scared to death of cars. He refuses to get in them and will literally start fighting for his life if forced to. The last time he was in a car, he had to be rushed to the hospital because he stopped breathing. It may be a silly trauma but he has a reason to be afraid and it is often thought on if he is scared of the car, or wishes to destroy it.
In general, Komen is a sweet kid. If not screeching to get around, he has a sweet soft voice and can actually sing quite well. He enjoys singing because it has nothing to do with him seeing and he sings about what he thinks everything looks like. Mostly, he creates songs that represent how he feels but sadly, he can't write the words down and sometimes forgets the lyrics.
Appearance: Komen is probably stereotyped as emo due to the way he dresses and overall looks. He looks sad most of the time and gives fake smiles here and there. He looks like a depressed kid with nothing better to do then darken anyone's day with his atmosphere but he really wishes not to. With no friends or family or even acquaintances, his life is dull.
His skin is a light tannish colour, matched with short orange hair. His bangs are quite long and are normally pushed either side, or just left in the way. It's not like he needs them out of his eyes, right? He hair goes up to the end of his neck and is quite fluffy. If you get the chance to see his eyes, they are a light sienna, completely blank.
He normally wears a gray thin hoodie, his hands always tucked into the pockets. He never really puts the hood on however, seeing as there is no point unless it's raining. he usually just throws on some jeans to go with it and whatever shirt he grabs first.
He stands at 5'4", weighing at about 97 lbs. He's quite skinny, and has a petite, feminine figure. From the back, he could pass off for a chick and once got hit on. He face is very boyish though, hardly giving off his age and he usually thought to be around 14 or so.
History: Komen is the second oldest kid in his family. His older sister, Alexia was probably the only one that actually loved to hang out with him. She would always baby him and play with him as he was a baby. Probably the main reason why he was so feminine to begin with.
His brother Oria joined the military when Komen was 12. The two wrote each other back and forth all the time. Suddenly, he never got a letter back. At first, he waited. His mother would tell him to think the best and that it was probably due to important issues and the military. So Komen waited...but he never got a letter back.
Six months went by and the family finally got a call from his son. Happily, he told them that he was coming home and to pick him up at the airport in a week. Komen was so happy to know that his brother was alright and couldn't wait for them to get him. Sadly, Komen got sick and had to stay home. his mother promised him that when she came back, she would make her best soup so he could eat and feel better. He eagerly awaited her to come back, not for the soup of course but because it meant that he could see Oria.
His family didn't come back for hours. The babysitter he was left with was becoming worried as well and she just told Komen to sleep. After a few more hours, the door bell rang and Komen ran to open it to be greeted by a man in uniform. He couldn't talk to Komen though and told the babysitter what had happened. Komen's family was in a tragic car accident and everyone was being rushed to the hospital. The cop said that everyone was in critical condition except for the eldest daughter.
Komen was sent off to an adoption agency, The boy had become depressed and didn't talk to anyone. If a kid got to close to him, he'd scream and start to cry. Soon enough, he had to be kept away from the other children and no one wanted to adopt him. During that time, Komen strangely went blind. He thought he had died as well and screamed his brains out, emitting his first supersonic wave that broke all the glass windows. The noise scared him even more and he suddenly stopped. He didn't even speak after that.
When he turned 16, he had gotten over his hard depression and could actually speak to people. He was an absolute sweetheart to the people who came to adopt and one woman gladly decided to adopt him. He made sure that she did not change one bit of his name and she agreed, leaving his last name too. With the paper work done, the two exited and Komen ran for it. Using the forest to guide him and his sonar, he came across the school (he ran into the fence). He's been here since then.
