Powers: Jo's abilities revolve around drawings. She is a very talented artist and can pull drawings out of her sketch pad and turn them real. She's quite good at small inanimate objects, but pulling out large objects tire her out rather quickly. And pulling out a living object make her very weak and she often passes out. The catch is, the drawing she can pull out must be in pencil and drawn by her. It is very annoying for her to have to draw mid-battle so Jo often carries a folder full of useful items with her at all times. But the object that she pulls out will break easier than it would normally. Also, it will disappear if she erases the drawing or rips the paper apart.

Personality:
Jo is a two sided girl. To strangers she seems a little odd and is very quiet. But she isn't shy, she just doesn't like talking to people she doesn't know. So it is quite hard for her to make new friends unless they make an effort, or Jo likes them enough to make one. She likes to doodle all the time, and is always seen carrying a sketch pad and a mechanical pencil. Jo laughs at stupid things and is very random. She is the kid you see in the back of the classroom, laughing to herself when some kid is acting up. But if you're friends with her, she is much more open. She loves humor, art (not abstract or pop art), animals, and just hanging out around friends. Jo can be viewed as 'crazy' or 'on crack', but she's one of those people who is just high off of life.
She is very improper and doesn't see the need to act all prissy and bitchy like a lot of girls are. She is more laid back, and pretty much ignores when people are asses to her. Instead she talks inside her head about how she would tell them off. Jo doesn't like to get in trouble, nor for friends to get in trouble because of her. She is pretty open about her opinion and is always willing to tell people what she thinks. Jo is surprisingly smart and loves puzzles. But she hates homework, and doesn't make a big effort to do something if it matter for like 2% of her grade. She loves to get to use her artistic mind for projects as well. Jo has a large imagination and is great at writing and making up stories. Jo dislikes physical sports and P.E., she isn't out of shape though, she's just a little lazy. Jo can also take things the wrong way and has a little bit of a dirty mind. Jo hates heat, humidity, and sunlight. She is a bit tomboyish and hates girly things. She absolutely loves video games and enjoys watching TV.
Appearance:
Jo is in pretty good shape, she isn't all that fit, but looks nice. Her skin tone is very pale as she dislikes being in the sun. She has beautiful blue eyes that look more of a gray-blue color. Her hair is a very dark brown and can be mistaken for black when she is note in the sunlight. It goes down a little past her shoulders and has a slight natural curl to it. Jo almost never put in a pony tail, but when she does, she put over a should so it drapes down on one side. Usually she wears baggier shirts and wears hooded shirts a lot. Jo also wears glasses, and is almost always wearing them. She wears pants most of the time, and will never wear a skirt unless she's in a costume or something.
History:
Josephine was born into a normal family. Well normal for the most part. She always respected her parents and didn't get into petty teen drama argument with them. When she was 10 years old, she started going by the name Jo instead of Jose or Josephine. Though her mother didn't like it at first, she accepted it eventually. Her brother, Dominic, loved playing video games, so since he rubbed off on Jo, she started to become more tomboyish as she grew. She was very close to her brother and he would do anything for her. Soon he would have to.
Jo's family never knew that mutant genes were in their family. They came from her father's mother's mom, because Giovanni's mom was adopted and never knew her real parents, the gene remained unknown. But it wouldn't stay hidden for long. A 14 year old Jo did her usual thing upon coming home, doing some drawing while eating an after school snack. But something would go terribly wrong. Her powers had been suppressed since birth, and they were about to burst out. She was drawing a wolf, a very angry wolf, on that looked like it was ready to kill the next thing it saw. As she finished up one last line, to make to doodle complete, she pulled up. But, her pencil wouldn't move. Then with both hands and all her strength, she pulled up. But along with her pencil came something else. The wolf she drew. She stood there in utter shock as a black wolf growled and snarled at her. Then she became light headed, her eyes twitched, then she was out cold. Jo's mother, Mary, was frozen. She witnessed the whole thing because she was watched Jo draw with out her knowing. Mary had always been a hater of mutants, and to know her daughter was one, well it down right disgusted her. The wolf turned it's attention to Mary and when it was about to strike, it faded away as if it was simply erased. She then could see Dominic, who had ripped the drawing in half.
When her father came home, Jo was still out. Her parents discussed her state, and with them both hating mutants, it didn't look good. Mary was ready to turn her own daughter over to the military if she had to. Dominic, who overheard the conversation, knew he had to protect his sister. He decided he needed to care for her in his own home. So he made a deal with his parents, that he'd take his sister to his home and she'd be out of their hair forever. Being 23 years old, Dominic became her guardian as Jo was disowned by her parents.
While Jo was still out, Dominic loaded her in his car and began the long drive. When Jo finally woke up, she was informed. It didn't really make her sad, but she was amazed she was a mutant. Living with her brother for a year, she trained and trained to get better at her abilities. Then Dominic discovered the school. Though Jo was sad to leave her brother, she agreed and went to the school.
She's been there a short amount of time but loves it there. She writes letters to her brother every week and draws all the time.
