Father: Stefan Black
Mother: Julie [Montgomery] Black
Sibling(s): Warner Black, thought he wasn't mutant, but finds out he is.
Mate: None.
Crush: None.
Spawn: None.
Personality:
Lana is the kindest soul found in the Institute. Often found helping others, Lana enjoys making friends with and without powers. She is an encouraging and nurturing spirit with a soft-spoken, sensitive nature, always trying to boost the confidence of others and to calm the behavior of those acting up. That said, she is not only a teacher's pet of sorts, but also a popular girl around the Institute. She often hangs around with humorous and heroic types.. *hinthint* She's clear-minded, except when her telepathic powers are active, and sensible.
Appearance:
Lana has a beautiful glow that matches her warm, loving personality. She usually dresses in soft, casual dresses, but can sometimes be found in jeans and a T-shirt. Her hair is long with short, wispy bangs that sweep across one side of her forehead. She has dark brown hair that's always clean and straight with a soft curl under at the end. Her eyes are an intense chocolate brown and her nose slender and petite. When her pink, glossy lips part, they reveal perfectly formed white teeth that have gone through two years of orthodontic shaping. Her body is shaped to be that of a petite model's with an almost unusually slim waist.
History:
Lana grew up in a small town in Northern Washington on a ranch with her parents and elder brother. She learned a sense of responsibility and discipline at a young age when helping around the house. She loved her parents and sibling as much as the farm animals, but was particular with horses. Lana seemed like a normal, healthy child until the age of 6. Things in the house began to change.. First, random earthquakes would occur, only experienced by the family since others lived acres away, at times when Lana grew angered. Then Lana would begin responding to things before her mother had spoken.
Confused and horrified by their daughter's talents, Lana parents did their best to research anything that may have caused her changes. By the time she was 12, Lana's powers had expanded immensely and become frequently uncontrollable. She went to school, but her parents begged her to stop using her powers. Finally, the Institute found her and contacted her parents, who were relieved to find a place to help Lana. They consulted regularly with the Institute and feared sending her all the way across the country to New York, but when they agreed and spoke to Lana.. she became enraged. The whole house was lifted into the sky and it seemed a tornado was passing over her family's home. Her overprotective brother, who also needed much convincing from his parents, tried to help her but she blew him away and injured him fiercely. Upon finding the pain she had brought her beloved brother, she halted her attack and instead used her power to settle the house back on its foundation.
Her brother had some broken bones, but ended up alright. Relieved, she agreed to go to the institute to learn to control her powers. However, when Lana arrived she was nothing like her playful self as she had been as a child. She was depressive and scared so she withheld her powers. Her psychic powers became latent and though many of her teachers, who know about her other powers, have tried to convince her to use and develop them over the years, but she always refuses. She has been at the institute for four years now and has grown out of her sadness and flourished into a powerful, friendly, and lovely young lady but still uses her powers very sparingly and if she goes to mutant classes she usually just uses manual combat.

Students:
{Sami Tensuli} "I like her because she's so intuitive to her sense of justice. Her random moments keep me on my feet! But once we actually talked she seems like a normal, friendly girl! I hope we talk more soon."
{Lee Penscript} "Lee is.. a bit lazy... okay she's very lazy. I often try and fight her procrastination, but it's strong! Sometimes I think that's her real superpower. I love her positive outlook on life, even if she doesn't like me so much."
{Georgina Umbram} "George has the coolest power! It's absolutely gorgeous when I get to watch her harness it. Her outgoing and rambunctous personality makes me wish I was in all her classes! I'm in most of them anyways. I absolutely love spending time with her."
[Schablone] "He's so mysterious. I know we have slightly similar powers, but his telepathy is strong. I wish I could find out more about him.. but I wouldn't push anything."
[Vincent Hyde] "Vincent is not much of a talker either, but he's better than Schablone! He's very smart and I think if anything he would have to help me with my homework instead of the other way around. I hope I can get to know him more!"
Teachers:
{Kaylii McWillow} "She seems like a very nice teacher despite her sometimes overbearing disposition. She spends a lot of time in the garden and I often see her there because I like it too! Her power is amazing.. I wish I had something helpful like that."
Others:
[Two-y] "I looooove this cat! I'll spend hours petting him all day if I didn't have classes.."
