Power(s): James' power is the power to control force field that can cover his body for a limited amount of time...if used to long, he can easily grow weak, or something...but the forcefield can only go a few milimeters of his own skin, meaning the force field only protects himself. But when something like a stab hits the barrier, it'll waste more energy and it will either break, or he will pass out.

James has an average build. He is not too skinny or lanky, not muscular, but not fat either. He stands at 5ft. 10 inches. He still has a bit of a boyish face, and yet, you can still tell that there is maturity there. His black hair is usually pushed back, or more like slicked back. He wears glasses, he is nearsighted and can't really see far. He has dark green eyes.
James would wear anything but shorts. It just makes him uncomfortable for some reason. He usually wears slacks and a collared shirt, with suitable shoes. When he feels the n eed he wears jeans or whatever, but most of the time he sticks with nice clothes.

James is all in all a gentleman. Although he is quite quiet. He is one to think of others, before hiself. He'd rather jump in front of a knife then see someone he knows get hurt. He always seems to have a smile on his face, or is just usually just content.
He rarely get's angry, frustrated, maybe, but that's just a maybe. He loves books, and also orchestra music. He is quite fond of the violin, it's also because he plays one. He is all in all a nice guy.

History
I've seen a vision of my life
James was born to a middle class family. He lived in the city, in an apartment for most of his life. His parents always pushed him when it came to school, always saying if he bought home a grade lower than 90, all of his privileges would be taken away until the grade was brought back up. He did get grades lower than 90 though, and they did exactly what they said they would do. He got used to this; it did help him so he wasn’t really bothered as much.
His parents forced him to take an instrument. He tried a lot of them, cello, base, viola, acoustic guitar. But there was one that he loved, after playing it for the first time, and that was the violin. Afterwards, his parents loosened up, but still kept there strictness in a sense.
James had found his powers in a weird way. One day during the first year of high school, this thug attempted to mug him. The thug only had a knife, but it still freaked out James to an extent. The thug attempted to stab him, and right before the knife was lunged, James tried to cover himself with his hands. When it did “hit” him, the knife broke, and the thug fell down. Soon after the police arrived, the thug was arrested and the police, James parents and James were confused.
James soon found out what happened, after something happened during class…let’s just say it dealt with spitballs and pencils. He then told his parents, thinking it was the right thing to do, but boy was he wrong. His parents, after pushing him so much, were so disgusted. A mutant[i/] in the family was not a good thing. James found out about Mutant high, and told his parents. His parents agreed, and that is where he is now.
