In a word, Halo is simply crazy. Halo seems to be innocent, and shy, being new to the school, but once she gets used to her surroundings, and learns more about the people around her, she'll come out of her shell. Halo acts like a complete dork, saying the most random things, and even doing the craziest things in public. Halo loves how embarrassed other people can be, when she draws attention to herself, since she hardly seems to care what other people think about her, especially a bunch of people she doesn't even know, many times Halo will even go up to any person and ask them a completely random question, just to see their reaction, and hear their thoughts. She isn't afraid to let you know what she thinks, or most of the time at least. Deep down, Halo isn't actually 'crazy' she acts the way she does basically as a cover, since she hates showing fear and weakness. She learned to hide everything when she was young, and use her jokes and comments to hide anything she wouldn't want others to see. After years of doing this, Halo uses this cover constantly, rarely letting anyone see her when her guard is down, and she shows how scared she really is.
Powers:
Halo can hear the thoughts of others, without giving effort, the voices of people's thoughts are almost constantly going through her mind. She has learned to tune most of the voices out, but the stronger the emotions behind the thoughts, the louder the voices are, the same goes for people she knows, the better she knows one person, the louder and clearer their thoughts are. Now, there are some thoughts, that people keep so guarded in their mind that Halo can't reach them, at least not with ease, though most people unintentionally let their thoughts flow, since most people never think of someone else hearing what the think. People that have a stronger will, and are more defiant, have more closed off thoughts, but with effort on Halo's part she can usually hear them, but she tries not to get into other's more personal thoughts. After training herself, Halo has learned to zero in on a single person's thoughts, which was once a great challenge for her, and still isn't all that easy. Of course, as she worked on her powers, she learned two other things, one is that she can hear thoughts even clearer, the closer she is physically, and touching them can make their mind an open book. The second thing Halo learned is when she tries to hard, forcing her power too much, she loses control of her power, and thoughts race into her mind, and she often sends her own thoughts to others by accident during these breakdowns. These breakdowns can even be sparked by focusing too hard on extremely emotional thoughts, thus overwhelming her. This fear of losing control keeps Halo from trying too hard, and expanding her powers much further.
Along with hearing thoughts of others, Halo has 'unleashed' a weak ability to move objects with her mind, this happened the last time she lost control. Telekinesis. So far, Halo can only move small objects, and not very far without tiring herself.

Extremely thin, due to being used to not having a full meal for a few years of being on the run. Halo has bright blue eyes, and long curly, brown hair. She has several red streaks through her hair, the most prominent of which consist of her bangs, which usually cover one of her eyes. Halo dresses in completely casual clothing, anything that fits, but she prefers baggy/torn jeans and large hoodies with a pair of sneakers. She doesn't quite care about appearances at all, since she doesn't care what others think about her, even though she hears it all anyway.
