Powers:
Invisibility is Jasper’s ability. Like all powers, his has draw-backs. For starters, it only last for 5-6 minutes; any longer than that could cause permanent damage. However, if there is another adrenaline pumping through him, he may stay invisible for a little longer. Usually emotions such as anger and fear will often increase his power, while sorrow and pain weaken it. Also, Jas may be able to turn invisible, but can’t turn visible: He must wait for his invisibility to wear off. (As Halo pointed out, his power would really suck if were trying to talk to someone, or are standing in line to use the bathroom.) Thankfully, Jasper's clothes also turn invisible, although he can't turn people or any other objects invisible.
Personality:
Jasper sure as hell is no choir boy. Liar, backstabber, thief are words that seem to fit him well. He'll usually just look out for only himself. But, if it’s in his best interest, he will help others. This guy only really values his life, which is why it’s good that he can talk his way out of most bad situations. If he can’t there is always his power, or he’ll just resort to violence. Despite what many people think, Jasper isn’t completely evil; there might have been a time when this was true, but not now. He does feel guilt, remorse, and even shame because of some of the things he has done in the past. Few know this ‘cause he doesn’t like how it makes him feel weak. He'll act like a cocky bastard around most people. Jasper tends not to respect most women and can be a bit of a man-whore. He’s extremely manipulative and will almost always find a way to get what he wants.
History:
Childhood: Jasper was born in New York, with his parents. His parents weren't exactly the 'caring type'. To them, he was just in the way, but they still took care of him. Jasper was always defiant, which earned him a few beatings from his father. He was never well liked by any other kids.
Adulthood: Later in his life, Jasper was employed by a man who believed that the mutant’s DNA could be manipulated to give them abilities, or change them. His job was to find mutants, usually children, and make them or their guardians, agree to the experiments. He was also expected to take care of any problems that arose from those who refused the experiments and make sure that the wrong kind of people didn’t discover what he was doing. When his ability became apparent, his boss took an even greater interest in him and wished to try and increase the power of Jasper's ability. He argued with his boss about it repeatedly. Then, he made an idiotic mistake that only people in stupid, sappy movies make. He fell in love. It was extremely stupid and dangerous due to the fact that the worked for the same man. It was inevitable that their boss would find out. One night, he was sent to pick up a rather powerful mutant child. After threatening the parents and snatching the child, he decided to stop by his lover’s house. A few things happened, and being the resourceful person that he is, Jasper ended up tranquilizing the child, and leaving her in the car. When he woke the next morning, he found the child and his car gone. Shortly after he arrived at ‘The Facility’, he was dragged in front of his boss and told that the child had been returned to her home and that her parents had called the police. A few seconds after that, Jasper was knocked cold. The next few months were a blur, as he spent most of them on a hospital table being experimented on. In the end, he was able to escape because an idiotic guard took pity on him (and ended up getting his neck snapped). After setting the other prisoner free (and taking out a few more guards), Jaz torched the facility.
Current: He still has yet to find his boss and the woman who betrayed him. And, after hearing about it, Jasper has taken a great interest in Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters...
