Personality:
Abel is the teacher that everybody loves. The one that understands everything, and remembers back when he was a kid, having gone to Xavier's as a kid. He's the teacher thats students will go to with a problem about school, or nearly anything. He'd be a perfect school guidance councilor, but prefers to use his powers to help kids control their's, knowing how hard it is to be a young mutant trying to learn how to keep their powers from hurting themselves or others. Abel is lenient, and sweet all around, letting students off with a warning, but can be strict when he has to. He always keeps in mind that some rules are meant to be broken and others are important to be followed. Despite Abel's maturity, he's just a kid at heart and loves a good joke, especially involving one of the school's crabbiest members, Alexander Bianco, the gym teacher. Abel can always get a good laugh from turning the meanest teacher into a happy, caring person, even if only for a moment.
Powers:
Abel can sense the emotions of others, whether they are trying to hide them or not. He can see through most masks to the pain beneath. Not only can he sense what someone is feeling, but Abel can manipulate other's emotions. He can calm people when their nervous, afraid or angry, he can even make someone feel sorrow or fear, though he uses his powers only to help his students and friends, or every now and then to bug Alex Bianco. After years of training, Abel has controlled his greatest weakness pretty well. He can keep from letting his emotions affect others, and hasn't had a slip-up in quite some time, of course there's no telling the next time he may be overwhelmed by pain, and loses control.
Past:
Unlike most mutants, Abel's family was accepting of him and his powers, though it had more to do with the fact that his father too was a mutant, with control over shadows. Despite the loving family, and happy-go-lucky sister, Abel was the quiet, outcast child. When he was young, Abel was still unaware of his powers, and often accidentally, started fights between others without meaning to, or simply making someone go from bright and cheery, to feeling like dirt. Once he realized his powers, Abel tried to use them, but soon learned that his emotions changed those of the people around him, the stronger he felt, the worse other's would feel. As he grew up, Abel never was able to harness his powers all too well, and his emotions always got the best of him, due to this, his parents thought it was best to send him to the the one place he could learn control.
Appearance:
Abel is tall and slender, almost athletically built. He has soft blue eyes and dark, medium length red hair that nearly reaches his eyes. Abel wears casual clothing even when teaching, so as not to give an uptight impression, besides you'd probably never even catch Abel wearing formal clothing.
