“Aaylii, just come on. No one is going to hurt you. Stop struggling. You know this is going to happen anyway…I’m too stubborn!” A boy entered the common room. He was wearing a white button-up shirt that was currently all the way unbuttoned. On this shirt was a pattern of small, black lined skulls all over. Underneath, he wore a white tank top that clung closely to his chest. This undershirt was mostly tucked into a pair of baggy black pants that had silver chains hanging from them ( OMFG! Jewelry for pants! ). The boy was tall, with scruffy blond hair. He was dragging, by the arm, a very reluctant looking girl. She was wearing a pink tank top and a pair of blue jeans. She wore no makeup, and while her hair was impeccably smooth, it was flat. All in all, she dressed like a girl who was seven, instead one of fifteen. It was clear that she was unaware of the beautiful girl underneath those clothes. In appearance, she looked very similar to the boy. Her hair was long and a light shade of blond. The two had very similar face shapes and had exactly the same powder blue colored eyes. “God, Ash. Let me go. I’m serious. Please? LET ME GO!”She raised her voice a bit on the last part, but she was so perpetually soft spoken, that only those close to her noticed the change. She wasn’t dragging her feet against the pull of the other, but she wasn’t aiding him in anyway. Actually, she was trying to jerk away from him while simuoutaniously trying to walk the other way. She had, clutched in one hand, a book, the title of which was hidden from view by one of her arms (as if she had been pulled away as she was curled up in a comfortable arm chair by a crackling fire and hadn’t the time to drop the book, which, incidentally, is exactly what happened). After a time, she ceased her futile efforts to escape from the boy’s iron-esque grip and simply glared, shooting venomous barbs at him with her eyes. He laughed aloud, a sound which was intoxicating in its own. The boy clearly had a personality that drew others in. The power was faint, but it was clearly there. It wasn’t enough to really help in any kind of battle, but it made him totally the kind of boy that you just watch and itch to go up to and talk to. His every word held a sort of tug on anyone listening, male or female. The power had no bounds, except for being very faint, of course. “ You act as if I’m going to kill you. It won’t hurt you to get out once in a while. You’re as white as a sheet, Aaylii. In fact, you blend in with the bed, you’re so pale. You need some sun. Come with me out on break, once in a while…I’ll fix you up with someone.”The idea clearly horrified, Aaylii, whose eyes opened as wide as saucers. Ashcer let go of her and she fell back against one of the long lounge sofas in the room. After she got over the initial shock, her eyes narrowed into killing points which she aimed at Ashcer. She didn’t seem to be affected by his unknown power. “ Don’t you dare!” That was all she said. Then she growled softly, saying something in another language that no one else would be able to understand…unless they could speak dog, of course, then curled up on the sofa and opened her book to the page she had been on before she was so rudely interrupted. Her eyes scanned the page quickly, as if they were just grazing the words. It was Ash’s turn to glare, and glare he did, but Aaylii didn’t notice, because by this time, she was so engrossed by her story that she didn’t notice the aforementioned glaring. Ash uttered a deep, exasperated sigh. “You’ll never meet anyone like that, you nerd. You need to get out and talk to people, not sit alone all the time with your white nose in a book! But Aaylii wasn’t listening.[/blockquote]

Lily pulled the black hood over her head and the small gloves over her hands as she walked out of her dormitory, hoping that no one was around. She wasn't really in a people mood at the moment, well she wasn't in a rude, self centered, arrogant, haughty people mood... to be exact. She walked another step and sighed as she was close to tripping. She bent down and pulled the navy blue converse's laces tight, making sure they wouldn't come untied again.
“You’ll never meet anyone like that, you nerd. You need to get out and talk to people, not sit alone all the time with your white nose in a book!" She overheard someone in the common room say. It sounded like a guy, but she could've sworn it was George talking to her in the library just a few days ago..... She had said almost the exact same thing to Lily when she met her. She sighed and looked up, her eyes finding the source of the voice instantaneously.
He was standing in the middle of the common room, staring down a girl that sat comfortably on the couch, engrossed completely in a book. She probably isn't listening to him would have most likely been her first thought, if her eyes hadn't been so fixated on the boy. She didn't even know why, she herself hated staring at others. But it was as if she couldn't look away, as if an invisible rope was trying hard to pull her closer, to open her mouth and say hello. But she fought with the rope, mentally of course. She was too introverted to start up a conversation, let alone to walk up to someone she had never met before, someone that was a guy, and that was actually very attractive.
She immeadiately forced herself to look away. She finished untying [for she had completely made a mess of it while she was star gazing.. *wink, wink*] and retying her shoelace, and then stood up, keeping her eyes trained forward, but slightly alarmed as they were trying their hardest to get another glimpse of the guy. She finnally made it to the door, quite relieved by the fact that she was almost out of the common room, a small smile came to her lips. Her hand reached out for the door handle......

The teen aimlessly walked about the hallways, wondering what to do. He wasn't in the mood to cook, nor seclude himself. The French boy was actually feeling quite social, a very odd thing. Perhaps it was because he had actually met someone nice a few days before? He had shared his food with a girl named Lily, who was very polite. Which was quite the refreshing personality compared to some people. Atticus sighed, perhaps there was something to do in the Commons Room? There were usually people hanging around in there, maybe there would be someone worth speaking to? Noticing he was coming up to the door leading into the Commons, when he heard someone.
“You’ll never meet anyone like that, you nerd. You need to get out and talk to people, not sit alone all the time with your white nose in a book!"
Well someone was being rude. The bond of siblings was unknown to the boy, so he didn't quite get the tough-love sort of thing. Atticus shrugged and continued to walk. If this guy was just being an ass, Atti had a thing or to say to him. When he wanted to, he could have quite the mouth. Atticus reached for the door handle and clicked the handle by turning it. Pulling the door open, he was quite surprised to see a familiar face. He didn't want to force her into a conversation, so he figured a simple hello would do. "Hello Mizz Lily." Atticus said softly, and he tipped his head slightly. He then continued past her, letting her go off to do whatever she was about to do. Atticus was slightly surprised that the Commons weren't all that full actually. There were people who walked in and out, but weren't there to stay. But, there was a teen and another girl. They looked quite similar to Atticus, but he didn't ponder about it.
The guy that stood in front of the sitting girl had something weird to him. It made Atticus cautious, because he felt like he wanted to talk to him. This was something that the teen didn't often feel, so it made him a little confused. Atticus just decided to ignore this and walked over to the sofa where the girl was reading. Taking a seat a little bit away from Aaylii, he peered over. She seemed quite reader, but Atticus couldn't quite see what it was that she was reading. Being the smart lad he was, Atticus read a lot of books, and was curios as to what she had in her hands. And since he felt social this day, he spoke up, "Parrdon me mademoiselle, but could you tell me what you arre rreading?" Atticus smiled slightly and hoped she could hear him through her hard reading shell.

Ashcer turned away from Aaylii. He wasn't tired of trying to get her to be sociable. He was never tired of trying to make her social. It was kind of like his life's mission, even though she would probably say that his life's mission was to make her miserable. He didn't see it this way. He genuinely cared for his twin, even if sometimes he seemed a bit overbearing. He really just wanted her to live a full life that didn't mean keeping one's head in a book every second of every day. She actually didn't read that much, but it seemed like it. They spend a lot of time together, even if it wasn't as much time as Ash spent flirting with the girls.
Most likely, flirting was exactly what he had on the mind when he saw a girl with brown hair and red highlights. He grinned as he noticed that she was staring at him. Ashcer didn't used to have such a huge ego, but it seemed that girls stared at him all of the time, so one couldn't help but puff up a lot. Highlights also made him like someone. It was that kind of, out there, personality that he liked. So, with this in mind, he strutted towards Lily, his eyes positively glowing with that kind of aura that pulled others to him. It seemed to get stronger the closer someone was to him.
" Leaving so soon?"
He had this confident, self assured lilt in his voice that would be positively infuriating if it wasn't for his irresistible charm.
Aaylii of course was immune to this and kept right on with her reading, eyes zooming over the words of her book. She had a slight grin on her face, and her eyes held a bit of euphoria in them. She had already read this book five times already, but each and every time she read it, it was like the first time. She was totally enveloped in the world of knights and kings that when she heard Atticus' voice, she thought that it was someone from the book come to life, so, as to be expected by someone who isn't used to people popping out of books and sitting beside her, she let out a small squeak and jumped a little. After she was over the shock, she looked over to Atticus. When she realized that he was a student, she looked unsurely about, as if there was another bookworm on the couch not paying attention to anything. After a bit, when she realized that he was talking to her, she immediately grew nervous and stuttered.
"Um...K-king Arthur."
She returned her eyes to the book, but she knew that she wouldn't be able to concentrate now on the book, and her eyes kept darting to Atticus. Despite herself, his voice was intriguing to her, and without even thinking about it, her thoughts started coming out in french, something that happened to her sometimes.[/blockquote]

Lily was almost run over as someone entered the room. Though it was Atticus, and being someone she just met, though seemed very nice, she smiled politely and stepped out of the way, giving a soft "Hello Atticus" in reply to his greeting. She didn't want to seem rude, but she really wanted to get out of the room. The boy's prescence was intoxicating to her.
She was just about to push down on the handle when out of the corner of her eye She saw the boy strutting towards her... He's probably cocky.... she said, observing the strut. That slightly irked her.
"Leaving so soon?" he asked in a rich voice, that would've probably seemed normal to her if he wasn't so dag on irresistible. What was wrong with her? She hated those girls that fell all over guys just because they were cute...
She sighed softly and turned around, looking into his eyes, her own blue eyes seemed to glow from beneath her hood. She smiled politely and shrugged. "Sorry, I was just off to get a bite to eat..." she lied in a polite tone as she tucked the book she held behind her back. She really wasn't headed for the kitchen, more like the Library. Her eyes surveyed the boy in front of her, and then it hit like a ton of bricks why he seemed so intoxicating..... Obviously Lily should have known this, she was after all in a school full of mutants. He obviously had some power over people... some attraction or irresistible ability, or maybe he was just able to tower over the weak and shy. Whatever it was, Lily started immeadiately to resent him for it. She hated it when people seemed to force her into something. But the hatred subsided as she realised she was no different from the girls who hated her for her own powers. Maybe he couldn't control his either..... she should try and be optimistic, and sympathetic. Though for Lily, being optimistic was harder than it looked.

[[Here comes George to crash the party]]
"Sorry, I was just off to get a bite to eat..."
That sounded an awful lot like Lily. And George knew for a fact she was not going to the library. Spotting a girl with a black hood and white gloves leaving the common room, George chuckled.
"Lily, I'm not hungry and you can't cook, so I know you aren't going for a bite to eat." Coming up behind her, George yanked the book out of from behind Lily's back. "How to be a nerd and totally miss out on chatting up a hot guy..." George pretended to read the cover.
Turning to face Lily, George shook her head. "Lily, Dorkdom at new heights..." Taking the book with her, the prankster sauntered into the Common Room. There two more bookworms were pouring over a book. Atticus AKA Frenchie and a new girl. Time to introduce herself.
She hopped over the back of the couch, with Lily's book and sat next to the two other students. "Hey, I'm George," She grinned.

"Lily, I'm not hungry and you can't cook, so I know you aren't going for a bite to eat." said a voice from behind her. OH know, here was George to ruin everything... Lily turned around as George stole her book. Lily gaped at her angrily and tried to grab the book back, but it was no use. "How to be a nerd and totally miss out on chatting up a hot guy..." Lily's face immeadiately grew red. She couldn't believe George said that.... and even gave away her name. George read the cover and then looked up at Lily, "Lily, Dorkdom at new heights..." She said as she walked off to the couch.
Lily was about to follow her, but he was in the way. And she didn't want to get any closer to him than she needed to. She sighed softly and leaned against the door, folding her arms angrily as she scowled in George's general direction. Here was George again, trying her hardest to pull Lily out of her shell.

Atticus turned his eyes to Lily for a moment, seeing that the odd teen was going her way. Well that was sure to be an experience for her, being the shy thing she seemed to be. Atticus then turned back to the bookworm he had addressed. She was looking around, as if thinking Atti was speaking to another person. Lightly shaking his head he smiled. Nope, the French boy was talking to her. She seemed quite nervous to Atticus. Resisting the fact he wanted to read her mind to know why she was nervous, Atti simply waited for an answer. He wouldn't grow impatient, it took quite a bit for him to get mad at a shy person.
"Um...K-king Arthur."
Nodding slightly, Atticus had read that book. Legends were always an interesting subject because, well, they were legends. They could be so different from one version to another. "A verry interrezting book, yez?" Atticus responded. Maybe she wouldn't stutter so much if she knew he had read it too. It was a common factor between them so far. Atticus then heard someone come in, making him look toward Lily. It was a girl he had never seen before. But he would be meeting her soon as she came over. The teen seemed to be a friend of Lily's, she would probably be nice then. At least Atticus hoped she was, and not some rude, annoying girl.
"Hey, I'm George,"
She now was sitting on the couch by the two. Atticus figured he might as well be polite to George. "Bonjour, My name iz Atticus and..." He glanced at Aaylii and smiled softly, saying "Um, mademoiselle, I did not get yourr name." Atticus tried to be polite to her, but he really did want to know her name. It made a conversation easier if the ones talking knew each other's names.

Of course Ashcer wasn't going to keep this girl from leaving if she was absolutely intent on doing so, and he was beginning to think that he could have been wrong on his initial assumption of her, and that was what was wrong with assumptions, they were hardley ever right. Ash, however, was never worried about making assumptions, because of his hugely inflated ego. If he made a mistake in assuming something, then of course he would always be forgiven. He didn't know why this was. He always thought it was because of his good looks.
She spoke, and he knew that it was an excuse. Maybe there was a mutant in the room whom detected lies. He glanced around quickly, but looked back when not one, but two people entered the room. The first was a boy who greeted the highlight haired girl, and that was when Ashcer learned her name. An arrogant grin touched his lips and he leaned against the wall, his bare arms crossed over his chest. For a second, his powder blue eyes followed the boy as he walked along, heading straight for Aaylii. He snorted.
Good. Maybe that kid will be able to get her out of whatever anti-social funk she seems to be in lately. God she's weird, it's a wonder I'm related to such a wallflower, much less a twin. Why do I have to love her so much? He took his attention away from the two of them again when someone else entered. It was another girl, to Ash's surprise and pleasure. He thought that he'd be able to flirt this one up before she started teasing Lily about being a dork and stealing her book. He raised an eyebrow. He hadn't seen that book before. Lily seemed more like Aaylii than what he thought at first. He grinned, it might be eaiser to break this one out of her shell. She didn't seem as deeply receded than his sister was. Once the tanned girl had walked off, still gripping Lily's book, Ash laughed again. It was rich laughter, filled with that pull he had." I wouldn't stand there if I were you. Someone might come through and run you over, Lily, was it? I'm Ashcer. Want to sit somewhere? I'm in a social mood.Of course she could refuse him, it wasn't something he was used to though. He didn't get refused often for some reason. Again, he thought it was probably his good looks.
Aaylii hid with her book, thoughts streaming out in French still. Sometimes this happened, and she had no control over it. Sometimes, it took her a while to understand her own thinking, since French wasn't a language she had ever learned. It was just this boy's voice that intereted her so much. She had never known a french person before, but of course, Aaylii was too shy to start a conversation with him, so she stayed silent.
That was, untill some loud girl came into the room, and after teasing and stealing away the book from the girl who her brother was talking too, walked over towards him. She gaped at the loud girl and unconsiously hid her own book. She was wary of this one already...she stole books.
Her eyed widened when the boy spoke again, and she looked over to him. She had never met another person who had read the same book she had. It wasn't strange, really, since Aaylii was so untalkative. She let herself smily lightly, it was a pretty one, that lit up her face when she did so, but she hardly ever let that side of her be seen, except for when she was reading a particularily good book in public." Vous l'avez lu?" Her entire face flushed bright crimson, and she gasped. She had forgotten that she was thinking in French, and it just sort of came out. Instantly, her hand went to her mouth, and she held her folded fingers against it, horrified. She was so humiliated. All she wanted to do was go curl up in a hole and disappear. Certainly this boy would think her a freak now. She wanted to apologize, and she stammered quickly." I-I'm s-s-so sorry. I didn't mean for that to come out like that...I-it's j-j-just..." Fortunately, the horrified girl was interrupted by the loud girl, who came over and sat down with the other girl's book. Aaylii lifted her knees up to her chin and raised her book, powder blue eyes not wavering from their pages until the boy spoke to her again. She was so unsused to talking so much, that she answered him, it was really more surprise that caused her to talk so much without stuttering. After all, she had already made a fool of herself in front of him. She raised her eyes up from her book long enough to face the girl, George and this boy who's name was Atticus. She had never met someone with that name, and she wanted to comment on it, but again, too shy. " I'm Aaylii"[/blockquote]

" I wouldn't stand there if I were you. Someone might come through and run you over, Lily, was it? I'm Ashcer. Want to sit somewhere? I'm in a social mood."
Lily held back the urge to glare at him. He was severely ticking her off, but she hated to be inpolite and show that fact. She hated him one, for not letting her introduce herself, just listening in and asking if her name was Lily, which is was. Two because he seemed to act like since he was in a social mood, everyone else in the world should be, and well, Lily was NEVER in a social mood really..... And three, he just seemed to act stuck up in a way. Her first impression of him could be entirely wrong, but then again it could be entirely right.
She moved aside from the door and looked at him, her piercing blue eyes seeming to pierce his soul, or at least that's what Lily was going for.... A small smile remained on her face, but it was entirely forced, with no real happiness behind it. Her mouth opened to refuse his offer, but it didn't come out as she had planned. "Nice to meet you Ashcer..... Sure, I suposse...... I mean George already stole my book, so what else is there to do..."
She started to gape at her words, but she stopped herself, for that would look entirely odd. That wasn't what she had planned to say, what she had planned to do. It was as if he was irrefusable....... Her feet began to move on their own accord, walking toward two small comfy looking chairs. She hadn't wanted to do it, but her feet just seemed to.... it was freaking Lily out entirely. She sighed and sat down in the chair, sinking into the soft cushions. She made a mental note of their softness, it would make a good place to sit and read... that was if Ascher, this new guy, wasn't around.
Lily watched him walk over, trying to make her eyes shoot evil glares at him. But it was impossible., and the closer he got... the harder it was to resist him. Unable to give evil looks to Ashcer, Lily quickly shot one to George. She would be dead when Lily got out of this conversation........

Though he had a big head and seemed a narcissistic bastard, Ashcer was far from it. He had a good heart, and the best intentions, but after months and months of never being rejected and never being refused, even the nicest of people would become a little egocentric. That was how Ashcer was now. On the outside, in public, he exhibited his best side, his social put-it-all out there side. Unlike Aaylii, who hid and tucked away who she really was, Ash was a firm believer in putting his heart on his sleeve. He really did see what he wanted and go after it. He wasn’t even a womanizer, he just liked talking to beautiful girls. He never had a serious girlfriend, and most of his chats were completely harmless, he just really loved girls.
He didn’t expect a refusal from Lily. Of course, if he were to refuse, he wouldn’t force her into a situation that she was uncomfortable with. He had no idea that she was uncomfortable even with chatting with him. Had he known, he would have broken it off there at the door and let her get on with her life. As she wasn’t able to express such things to him, he assumed that she was thrilled to be able to talk to him and let her lead the way. He let his face break out into one of his most charming grins as she chose where to sit. She had made a wonderful choice in choosing two of the most comfortable chairs in the lounge room, but he couldn’t help but feel a moments remorse that she hadn’t chosen a larger love seat.
He let it pass quickly though. Ashcer wasn’t a player. He didn’t believe in having more than one girlfriend, in fact, he was quite intent to not have any girlfriends at the moment. He just liked flirting too much. He had strong morals, and knew that his sister would never forgive him if he were to hurt any girl that way, so while she still didn’t approve of his flirty ways, at least he wasn’t two timing anyone. He followed behind her, taking a graceful seat in the chair next to Lily’s. As he sat, he let his gaze flicker over to Aaylii. She looked horrified, as if she had done something terribly embarrassing. Knowing her, she probably had. He wouldn’t interfere though. He knew his limits to how much he could push his sister. This “abduction” into the public was probably pushing her boundaries a great deal. At the end of the day she would forgive him. His “attraction”, thankfully, didn’t affect her, but it was just the natural sibling bond they had that kept her from hating him. He didn’t want to think about Aaylii now. Instead, he turned to Lily, his head cocked to the side in some endearing way.
“ So, what is your claim to fame, my dear? What’s your mutation?”
It may have seemed an odd question to ask, but it was one that he asked every time he met someone. He made it sound totally innocent, but he was really just making sure he knew what everyone did in case he ever needed to take advantage of it.

Lily's bright blue eyes watched Ashcer as he walked over and sat down. She smiled slightly, despite the fact that she didn't care for him much, that was no reason to be impolite. But she wasn't going to talk first... She was going to let him do that. And she had decided that she was going to give him the benefit of the doubt, and talk for a while before rendering him as a cocky self centered guy.
“ So, what is your claim to fame, my dear? What’s your mutation?” he asked, a grin plastered on his face.
"Whenever my skin comes in contact with any other human or animal skin I suck the life out of them.. I can kill people in about four minutes. Plus the fact that it has made me freezing all the time and incapable of human interaction doesn't make it all that appealing. Though you've probably heard about me through the gossip chain...." she said, the smile still there, but no feeling behind it. She sighed softly. "Not exactly a "claim to fame" as you put it..." she mumbled.
Her eyes caught hold of his, and she stared into his for a moment. She then looked away. "What about you?" she asked politely, not wanting to dominate the conversation talking about herself... that would be self-centered.
