A Human Visitor? [Anyone!!]

[Lana and Warner.]

With one arm being dragged into the Common Room and the other holding his guitar case, Warner Black was pulled from the Main Entrance and through the school by his sister. She was always a happy thing, but today she seemed over exuberant. It warmed Warner's heart to see her.

"Will you stop already?!"

Lana halted suddenly and dropped his arm, a playfully angered expression gradually crossed her face. She spun her body around in what looked like fury. "What are you stopping for you lazy slacker!?!" she yelled briefly, not caring about others around her, she was in her own little world today. She was usually very considerate of others, keeping quiet in study areas, and all those other nice things, but around her brother, Lana was a devious creature. She lived to make him irritated as the position of "little sister" had always been throughout the ages. "Oh come on Lan, don't you want to.. uhh.. sit down or something? I'm here for a whole week! That's plenty of time to show me everything!" Lana laughed, looking up to her brother since she was signifigantly shorter than him, "Like you know! There's acres of land, numerous underground levels, there's waaaay more stuff in here than you think! And don't you think you can call me 'Lan' and get away with it.." Her brown eyes that looked almost exactly the same as his narrowed threateningly. He grinned knowing what was coming next as well as Lana did...

".. You mean.. Flan??"

Lana squealed with anger and jumped on him as he fell over onto a huge leather chair. She pretended to beat him up, knowing that she could actually take him had she wanted to. Her training had served her well for combat. It was the only way she could defend herself since she didn't use-- her thoughts halted and assault slowed. "Don't you dare call me that around here!" she whispered to her beloved sibling who she was sitting on. Feeling a bit awkward, she moved off him and stood with her arms crossed at his side. "Come on Lana, I've been travelling all day and I'm starting to get motion sick.." he made a fake pout and pretended to throw up. Their conversation was much more reserved now, but just as playful. Lana socked him in the arm again and he set his guitar down to rub his arm.

"Fine... You're so frustrating.." she said, ploping herself into the matching chair next to his. "Yeah, you haven't changed either sis.."

[Lily]

Lily sat in a small chair in a corner of the room. She was engrossed in The Good Earth and it was actually quite good.

But two teenagers fighting broke her thoughts. At first she thought they were boyfriend and girlfriend, playfighting. But as she heard them use the terms "Sis, and Brother" she figured otherwise. She laughed softly as she watched the two.

The boy was probably new, or visiting... He was actually quite cute... but that's not what Lily focused on. She had already seen Lana around. She was very energetic, but she never seemed to use her powers, or give away what they were.

As soon as the boy and girl, who she had learned were Lana, and Warner, came closer a sudden heat began to fluxuate throughout Lily's body. It was as if one time in her life.. she wasn't freezing. She wanted desperately to roll up her sleeves, but that could be dangerous.

She sat her book down on the end table, and walked over to the thermometer, not interrupting the two squalling siblings. "Impossible!" she gasped softly. The meter read that the air was on, and it should be around Sixty in the room. But she felt as if it were Eighty! What was going on?

[Lana and Warner.]

Lana looked up at hearing Lily's words. She smiled, seeing her classmate and stood from her chair to abandon her brother, for now. Warner gave her an odd glance but shrugged to himself and laid his hands over his slender abdomen while his eyes half-closed in a relaxed state.

Meanwhile, Lana stepped up to Lily with a warm smile and her more level-headed personality. "Hey Lily!" she called before getting too close to the girl. She knew of her powers and the smartest thing to do around someone with a power like her's was to alert them of your presence. To surprise them could mean sure death if they didn't look where they were going. Although, Lana was well aware of Lily's hand attire as well. Drawing closer she stood at the girl's side with a tilted head, "Is something wrong? My brother's here! Do you want to meet him?"

[Lily]

"Hey Lily!" she heard Lana say from behind her. Lily turned around with a small, slightly agitated smile on her face. She wasn't agitated by Lana of course... just the theremometer had to be lying! "Is something wrong? My brother's here! Do you want to meet him?"

"Hey Lana..... Nothing is wrong really... I just.... I think this thermometer is lying or something.. It can't be this cold in her.. it's burning up!" she exclaimed. "And that's really odd.... because well... my powers make it so I'm always cold... I dunno what's wrong!?" she stopped, and recomposed herself.

"Sorry.. I'm just a little weirded out..... Um, sure I'd love to meet him.." she said politely. Though her mind wasn't really focoused on Lana and her brother... It was more stuck on the reason why it was so hot... It was as if her power had vanished..

[Lana and Warner.]

"Hey Lana..... Nothing is wrong really... I just.... I think this thermometer is lying or something.. It can't be this cold in her.. it's burning up!" Lily explained as Lana moved in to look at the thermometer herself, "And that's really odd.... because well... my powers make it so I'm always cold... I dunno what's wrong!?"

Lana was confused as well though her mind felt clear as day. Burning up? "Well, I don't feel warm... not that my power makes me cold anyways.." she mentioned as Lily shifted into focus. Lana shrugged, wishing she could be of more help. "Sorry.. I'm just a little weirded out..... Um, sure I'd love to meet him.." Lana grinned again and almost reached out to give her a comforting touch, but remembered her stigma to personal contact. Her hand fell back to her side, "You don't have to say sorry! Come on, he's really nice once you get past his stupid side!" She beckoned her to come and stepped back to her brother, "Warner, this is Lily. She's really sweet so don't be dumb.. And Lily, this is my brother, he's not a mutant. He's just a visitor." Warner grinned sheepishly, standing from his slumped position. He was much taller than her as well, but he couldn't help staring into her beautiful blue eyes. She was petite like his sister, actually, she reminded him a lot of his sister.. in a good way. "Well, I do have the ability to be charming.." he said with a sly laugh as a handsome smile spread across his face. He held out his hand as if he was going to take it and kiss it. Lana, smacked her forehead as if he had totally failed and rolled her eyes with extreme exaggeration. He was so stupid..

[Lily]

Well, I don't feel warm... not that my power makes me cold anyways.." Lily just shrugged off the comment.

It looked as if Lana was about to reach out to her, but changed her mind.. she must have remembered Lily's powers, and how fatal touching her could be. "You don't have to say sorry! Come on, he's really nice once you get past his stupid side!" Lana said energetically as she lead her over to where Warner sat. "Warner, this is Lily. She's really sweet so don't be dumb.. And Lily, this is my brother, he's not a mutant. He's just a visitor."

Lily smiled at him, and then.. up at him as he stood up. He was so tall compared to her. Well, then again EVERYONE was tall compared to Lily. "Well, I do have the ability to be charming.." He said with an oddly charming sly laugh. Lily laughed softly also, but it grew as he held out his hand. She laughed as Lana smacked her forehead. "You probably wouldn't want me to take your hand... Mr. Charming..." she advised, smiling sweetly. She held up her gloved hands, as if they should somehow tell him that touching her was fatal.

[[AHHHHHH..... if you wanted you could have him be an idiot, remove the glove and kiss her hand.. and then not die... and find out about his powers that way... But it's totally up to you.. I was just thinking.XD]]

Kat had just finished a snack in the kitchen and was headed back to her room... or the media room with all the computers... or the library. She hadn't really decided. In any case, her wanderings took her toward the common room. There seemed to be a commotion going on there, and Kat's curiousity got the better of her. She slowed a bit when the noise seemed to devolve into thumps and smacks, though not much in the way of sounds of actual pain. So... what _was_ going on in there?
She wandered in, and looked around. "What's all the..."
Her voice trailed off as she spied Lily and a boy rather close together, and Lana looking on with a smile.
"Sorry... I'm interrupting. I didn't know!" and she turned to leave the trio in peace.

[Lana and Warner.]

((By the way, your characters can know Lana really well. She's been in the school for four years now. ;D))

"You probably wouldn't want me to take your hand... Mr. Charming..." Warner raised an eyebrow with indescribable curiosity. "Please! Call me Prince," his handsome grin widened as he took her gloved hand in his own, "Now, why do you have these pretty little hands all covered up?" He went to remove her glove and Lana finally came back into the moment.

"NO!!" she screamed, right before her hands smacked right over her mouth. Warner immeadiately stopped, not that he had even gotten close to taking them off anyways. "Warner! People don't wear gloves around here just to make fashion statements!" Lana warned angrily. The last thing she needed now was to lose her brother when she could've stopped it. Luckily, Kat came just in time. "What's all the..." Lana turned to speak with her and leave Warner alone. "Don't worry you aren't interrupting anything!" she said, moving aside.

Warner had forgotten about this school. Mutants filled its walls and every one of their powers could be used for helping others, but they were also very dangerous.. like his sister. He sighed and readjusted her glove. "Sorry.." Warner mentioned while releasing her hand with a hint of reluctance. One of his hands slipped into his pocket, while the other raised to scratch the back of his head nervously. An awkward silence passed between them and Warner gave an unusual, husky laugh as his nerves set in further.. "Uh, why don't you... Umm.. have a seat?"

Meanwhile, Lana went to another table and sat down with Kat. "Hey! How are you today?" she said with a smile, "I figured I would let them be.." Lana rolled her eyes and laughed. "So how was class yesterday Bubbles? I had to miss to go talk to another teacher again..."

[Lily]

"Please! Call me Prince," He said with a charming grin. He took her hand and began to take off her glove. She looked on in horor. "Now, why do you have these pretty little hands all covered up?" He continued..

"NO!!" she heard Lana yell... And warner stopped. Lily withdrew her hand and she pushed back her hair, which just fell back in her face. "Warner! People don't wear gloves around here just to make fashion statements!" Lily had never seen Lana so angry.

Warner looked rather embarassed. Or maybe he just felt bad. Whatever reason..... Lily couldn't help but feel sorry for him. "Sorry.." He mumbled.

"Don't worry about it... Simple mistake. It's alright. You couldn't have known.." she said positively, smiling softly. An awkward silence passed, and he gave a sort of awkward chuckle to break it. "Uh, why don't you... Umm.. have a seat?"

She nodded and walked over, but her clumsy self tripped over a guitar case. She felt so embarassed as she fell further and further towards the ground.

[Lana and Warner.]

Warner took in a sharp breath as Lily tripped and instantaneously grabbed her anywhere he could. It all felt slow motion as his hand clasped her bare arm and then his other arm wrapped around her. Soon, Lily stood in Warner's arms while his hand remained on the bare skin of her upper arm. He let out a sigh of relief, but didn't want to let her go. His dark eyes looked down into her's, "I.. thought you said it was dangerous to touch you." He smiled and continued to hold her, it was odd that nothing happened since Lana had gotten so worked up over everything.

[Lily]

"I.. thought you said it was dangerous to touch you." He said, his dark eyes staring into hers as she was caught up in his arms.

"It is...."{/color] she said, totally bewildered, but lost in his eyes. For some reason she couldn't look away, she just was still in his arms. It was an odd sensation as she felt the warmth of his hand. "If anyone's skin comes in contact with mine.......They die in a matter of four minutes..." she said softly. "Are you sure you aren't a mutant of some sort?" she asked, still in his arms.

She felt safe somehow. It was as if she was normal again.... as if she didn't have a curse upon her. But her peircing blue eyes caught up in his deep brown.

[Lana and Warner.]

"It is...." Lily replied softly, her voice echoing through Warner's head. He tilted his head, his shortish hair shifting along with it. "If anyone's skin comes in contact with mine," she said with a pause of confusion, "They die in a matter of four minutes... Are you sure you aren't a mutant of some sort?"

This was way too odd. Warner didn't feel anything. His body was it's normal tempature, he was in no pain.. "No, my sister is, but I've lived my whole life without powers," his answer was definate, but inside his organs squirmed with utter bewilderment, or was it terror? To have a power would mean.. he was a freak, a weirdo, a mutant. He never thought of them this way, but with all the things he had heard from those who thought they knew what happened. He held her a bit closer, keeping one hand on her arm, and touching the other to the side of her face. "Well then, I'll just have to hold on for a few more minutes and we'll see.." he said with a half grin and half worry. It was a risk, but it was one he had to take..

[Lily]

"No, my sister is, but I've lived my whole life without powers," pulled her closer, one hand on her cheek. "Well then, I'll just have to hold on for a few more minutes and we'll see.." he said, grinning. But it was half-hearted and she could see he was worry.

"I don't want to hurt you--------- That'd be awful------- But it's so odd... It's as if my powers don't effect you... I mean... It's odd. The moment you walked in, I started burning up. And normally that wouldn't sound odd.. but My powers.... make me always freezing.." But she was sure he'd already know that, seeming as he was holding onto her face. "I don't want to hurt you Prince Charming..." she said. And that would probably, forevermore be her nickname for him, seeming as it was practically how he had introduced himself.

[Lana and Warner.]

"I don't want to hurt you--------- That'd be awful------- But it's so odd... It's as if my powers don't effect you... I mean... It's odd. The moment you walked in, I started burning up. And normally that wouldn't sound odd.. but My powers.... make me always freezing.." she said nervously, but Warner grew stronger with each passing moment. Nothing was happening.. Her face grew flushed and he now realized how warm her body really was. "I don't want to hurt you Prince Charming..." He smiled and continued his gaze into her eyes, "I believe you are safe with me, my princess.."

So it was true.. he was.. a mutant. He broke their gaze for a moment to look at his sister. She was consumed in her conversation with Kat and not even facing their direction. He looked back to Lily with another sigh escaping his softly parted lips, "Listen.. don't tell my sister okay? I will later. Somehow, I must be able to turn off your power. Do you think it works on others too?" He continued to hold her, feeling a sense of her warmth beginning to flow through him as well.

[Lily]

"I believe you are safe with me, my princess.." He said. A faint pink of blushness rose upon her cheeks.

"Listen.. don't tell my sister okay? I will later. Somehow, I must be able to turn off your power. Do you think it works on others too?" He seemed to look worried or something, Maybe he was afraid of being a mutant. She was surprised he continued to hold her.

"I won't..... And I'm not sure... the only way to find out would be to have someone else try and demonstarte their powers while they were around you.." she said seriously as she still stared at him. Her mind was in a whirl at the moment. Why in the world did three guys have to sweep her off of her feet? And how could she choose one? But her thoughts changed as she realized how self centered she was being. She thought of how scared he must feel, just finding out he had some sort of power... some way that he could turn off hers.
