Yay, it's the weekend!
Usually on weekends Epitome would be playing around outside, transforming into a puppy, hamster, or something fun like that. She traced her eyes over to the damp windowsill. Of course it had to rain today, and right when she wanted to try out a few new animals. Oh poo.
So there she lay, plopped down onto the cozy couch, remote loosely clutched in hand. Nothing ever good came on when she was bored. Epitome flipped through the channels until she found weird show she found a couple months ago called American Idol. She groaned and rolled onto her back.
Lovely, some wanna be Gangster guy, big headed British guy, and is that lady drunk? She thought to herself.
Flip. Switch. Zzzitch. Ugh. " What. The. hell? " She said aloud, " How many more seasons of American Idol and Days of Our Lives must I go through before they realize that it sucks and put new stuff on? Of course, they'll probably put on worse stuff then. "
Darn, it's the weekend.

The weekend. This was when it was easiest to get caught doing things George shouldn't be doing. But that was a risk that George had to take. She had a reputation to protect. What would everyone say if at least one teacher didn't chew her out everyday? Well, Birdie would cheer, Jimmy would faint, Mopey wouldn't care, and Kat might be disappointed.
It was raining today, that was a plus. Being able to control water, made rainy days the best days for George. Especially since she was working on a new prank. She need to be able to hold water over the entrance door after the rain had stopped, then afterwards when it was sunny again, the first person outside would be in for a huge surprise!
George chuckled to herself as she walked past the Common Room. " What. The. hell? " She heard. " How many more seasons of American Idol and Days of Our Lives must I go through before they realize that it sucks and put new stuff on? Of course, they'll probably put on worse stuff then. " She made a face. She didn't know this person, thus she must introduce (or as Clocks might say 'torture') herself.
Walking up to the couch, she leaned against the back of it, eyes glued to the television. "They don't realize it's sucks because it's the only thing on. So we are forced to watch it and thus they have their ratings." She said with a grin. "You shouldn't watch T.V. anyway it rots your brain. My name's George." She immediately wondered if she was coming off as "hyperactive" again. She hadn't had any coffee...she's not allowed to, apparently. But then she figured she didn't care.

So distracted by the Television, Epitome wasn't paying attention to the girl walking up near the couch. They don't realize it's sucks because it's the only thing on. So we are forced to watch it and thus they have their ratings." The voice almost immediately made her jump. She looked over to see a girl wearing a grin.
"You shouldn't watch T.V. anyway it rots your brain. My name's George." Epi looked at her smiling, and sat up from her lounging position. " Brain? What's that? Whatever it is, I think I lost it a loooong time ago, " She said with a grin. "
Epitome outstretched her hand, " I'm Epitome, my mutant name's Beast. Because, well, I can transform into any animal I want.
I haven't really perfected yet, since if I ever transform into a tiger or something I accidentally try to eat people. And if I transform into something with a really small brain it's hard to remember how to transform back into a human. "
There was Epitome, babbling on about her powers. She quickly remembered how often people grew bored whenever they listen to Epitome talk. And boy she talked a lot.
Epi threw a furtive glance at the window to see if the rain had died down. Darn, now it was pouring. She let out an exasperated sigh and slouched down.

"Brain? What's that? Whatever it is, I think I lost it a loooong time ago...I'm Epitome, my mutant name's Beast. Because, well, I can transform into any animal I want...
George made a face at the same time that she was smiling, so she ended up with a scrunched up look on her face. Her nose just itched, but she hated scratching it in front of people that was borderline rude. George nodded to signal she was paying attention and not making faces at the girl. Apparently Epitome was a shape-shifter... "That's interesting. I can control water, mutant name Amnis."
She thought about her short explanation on her own powers. It made it sound uninteresting, but you have to see it to really appreciate it. Even though, George didn't really appreciate them. She didn't have an odd obsession with mutant abilities. "So, do you retain any part of your human brain when you transform? Or is it a matter of the animal instinct taking over?" She asked. That might sound like an interrogation, but that was how George was.
She noticed the girl looking to window. It was raining hard. George hoped she would make out there before it stopped. Hearing Epitome sigh, she frowned. "Don't like the rain?"

Epitome noticed George making a scrunched up look, and if immediately rethought everything she said. She sighed a little when George nodded that she was paying attention. "That's interesting. I can control water, mutant name Amnis."
Epitome brought her hand back to herself when she realized that George wasn't shaking it. " Water? Y'know, you could do a lot of stuff with a power like that. Pranks, specifically.... "
She smiled slyly as she was saying that. Epitome liked pulling pranks once in a while, it was hilarious seeing jerks look at you in fear when you turned into a man eating bear in front of them. As long as she remembered to turn back...
"So, do you retain any part of your human brain when you transform? Or is it a matter of the animal instinct taking over?" Epitome looked thoughtfully at George before answering.
" Well, I do retain a small part of my human brain, that's the part of my brain which helps me transform back into human. If I concentrate very, very hard I can take complete control of the animal. But that usually only works with small animals like gerbils, but sometimes slightly bigger animals like cats and dogs. "
She looked back at George whom was frowning at her. "Don't like the rain?"
" Nah, sunshine for some reason helps me concentrate on transforming for some reason. Although I sometimes go out to splash random people I don't like outside. You should try it, makes you feel better! "

George realized she hadn't taken the girl's hand to shake it in the form of a greeting. But she was wary about touching other mutants, especially when touching one could put her in the nurse's office for an undefined amount of time. Epitome would learn that soon enough. "Water? Y'know, you could do a lot of stuff with a power like that. Pranks, specifically...." George grinned at Epitome. Pranks were always fun!

But that usually only works with small animals like gerbils, but sometimes slightly bigger animals like cats and dogs." Epitome had given her a strange look before actually answering her. But George was unperturbed by it, her friends give her strange/bewildered/outrage/angry/shocked/etc looks all the time.
"Well," she started in response to her dislike of rain. "I've had these powers for a while, and splashing people is only the beginning to pranks involving rain and water in general!" She said excitedly. Improving skills was always on her mind. Mainly because her best friend couldn't touch her and with George's power she could make makeshift shields. Getting better is apart of her nature, she needed to do it. "I've been working on making water balloons levitate, and holding water in place for long periods of time."
She grinned at the girl, as an idea struck her rather suddenly. "Can you turn into water animals?" Oh it was brilliant!

"Well, I've had these powers for a while, and splashing people is only the beginning to pranks involving rain and water in general!" Epitome grinned at George's enthusiastic answer before continuing on listening with interest. "I've been working on making water balloons levitate, and holding water in place for long periods of time."
An image of water balloons swirling about and hitting people flat in the heads came into mind, making Epitome giggle out loud accidentally. How delightful it would be to see Sabrina, a resident mean girl, get fwapped in the head and shrieking about! Again and again and again and...
"Can you turn into water animals?" George said rather suddenly. Epitome looked surprised for a minute, but returned to her slouching position and nodded.
" Shark, dolphin, manatee, goldfish, whatever. Unless you literally mean animals made out of water. Than I can't help ya' out there, unfortunately. "

"Shark, dolphin, manatee, goldfish, whatever. Unless you literally mean animals made out of water. Than I can't help ya' out there, unfortunately."
George squealed, then composed herself. "Heh, no I meant in the water. Otherwise what would you need me for?" George grinned wickedly. She could see it now: A huge tidal wave surging down the hall with a shark fin sticking right out of it. She wondered if Epitome was picture they same thing. "I would have to practice having a large amount of water in the hall without causing any damage to the house itself." She muttered to herself.
She sighed, then leaned over the back of the couch, landing upside down with her back on the cushion instead of her bum. George's legs hung over the back. They seemed to be running out of small talk. George was never a fan of that anyway. She liked to get to the point and only wanted the meat and potatoes of the conversation. "Well, tell me about yourself..." She said simply. "What do you like to do? Your ambitions...that kinda of stuff. You can only talk about powers for so long..."
The blood was rushing to her head. It probably wasn't healthy to sit like that. She righted herself. Her hair was now sticking up on her head, but she ignored it and waited to hear Epitome's life story.

"Heh, no I meant in the water. Otherwise what would you need me for?" The squeal and evil grin George had on her face gave Epitome a pretty good idea of what she was thinking. "I would have to practice having a large amount of water in the hall without causing any damage to the house itself." She heard her mutter quietly.
The hall? Oh, that couldn't be good. An image of the hall, almost completely overflown with water with innocent onlookers watched in terror as Shark Epitome swam through looking hungry. She shivered a bit at the thought before turning back to George.
"Well, tell me about yourself...What do you like to do? Your ambitions...that kinda of stuff. You can only talk about powers for so long..." Epitome had a look of relief when George said that.
" I was wondering when you were going to ask that. Let's see...I wanna be a Space Princess Cowboy Ballet Dancer Singer Actress, " She said with her best impression of a little girl voice, " Oh, I can't have that many jobs? Darn. "
She took in a deep breath, which basically meant George's ears would probably explode from her over talking.
" Well let's see here...I'm a vegetarian, 'cause meat....meat is just blech to me. I always did want to be an actress, be in movies and have a show and dumb stuff like that. I'm arachnophobic, a prankster, bi-sexu--uuuh, " Epitome turned red, "liiike music. And talk a lot. And blurt stuff out. You didn't hear anything I just said, did you? "

"I was wondering when you were going to ask that. Let's see...I wanna be a Space Princess Cowboy Ballet Dancer Singer Actress.... Oh, I can't have that many jobs? Darn."
George grinned. "What a cowinkidence! I wanted to be a Space Cowboy Actress Bounty Hunter Mobster, the only difference is I wanted to be a Prince." She said the last in low voice. But hey it was the truth. When they would all play the Fairytale game, the boys would try to make her the Princess. She wasn't having any of it. George was going to be the prince or the dragon...she ended up being the dragon and they had to find another princess.
She focused back in after reliving her childhood. Thankfully Epitome had just took a deep breath. "Well let's see here...I'm a vegetarian, 'cause meat....meat is just blech to me. I always did want to be an actress, be in movies and have a show and dumb stuff like that. I'm arachnophobic, a prankster, bi-sexu--uuuh....liiike music. And talk a lot. And blurt stuff out. You didn't hear anything I just said, did you?"
George had heard and her nose scrunched up. Distantly in her head, she wished she hadn't tried to fly off the monkey bars. Then her nose would have that weird hump in it. "I eat meat...and enjoy it...for someone who can turn into a wolf or something, I would imagine you would devour rare meat." George was thoughtful. "But you could also turn into a bunny..."
She shook her head. " I have an uncanny ability to unhear things. That can be done if you like. But I wouldn't stress about that. You and I are more alike than you think." George gave the girl a wink and a broad grin.

Lily hugged her books tightly to her side as she pushed open the rather heavy door to the Common Room.... Wonderful weekend, sure whatever. Lily hadn't a single thing in the world to do... And she couldn't find James anywhere. She sighed as she entered, but shutup as soon as she heard voices... " I have an uncanny ability to unhear things. That can be done if you like. But I wouldn't stress about that. You and I are more alike than you think." She recognized George's voice easily, and minimized her noise. She was almost sure that if George saw her, she would most likely be made fun of in some way.....
With her free, black gloved hand she reached up and pulled her black hood over her. It would look natural, especially since she was soaked, and it was pouring outside...... She pulled her books tighter to her stomach and tiptoed lightly across the floor, intending to sneak through to her dorm room. It wasn't like George wasn't her friend or something..... She just didn't feel like talking at the moment.
