George was getting annoyed that no one wanted to let her sleep! It was ridiculous... George raised her head, and grinned. "Why wouldn't I be?" George saw the tears on Lily's face. She immediately took the water from her friend regardless of how exhausted she was. "Don't cry. Nothing of this is you're fault..." George rasped.
She continued to grin, even though she was sure she looked sickly and dark circles were appearing around her eyes. "If I hadn't pulled the pipes you wouldn't be in this situation, ok? It's not your fault!" She said firmly. Despite the fact that she couldn't really see, she knew Lily probably didn't believe her...
"Let me hear you say it!"

"But it is! It's all my fault.... my powers... if I hadn't had them, no one would've made fun of us, and you wouldn't have ruined the kitchen and coach wouldn't have grabbed me and I wouldn't have almost killed Coach...." she cried more tears, and despite how tired she was, she picked up George, making sure she wasn't touching her. GEorge was easier to carry since she was lighter. "I'm going to take you to the nurses station... you look awful..." she explained through her teary state.
Despite how light she was compared to the coach, Lily was still having trouble carry George. She got to the door, and almost crumbled under her weight. But she did manage to get her to the other couch before that happened. Lily backed away and slunk into the last chair, once again returning to hugging her knees to her chest, her hair falling into her face, rocking back and forth.

"No!" George said softly, as Lily put her down. She couldn't take her tears anymore, she was depleted. She did make a mental to note to work on stamina. "They woulda found somethin' to make fun of ya about. I would have done something like that anyway... I don't matter... It's not your fault..." George tried to fight it, she did. But she was just a kid... what can be expected.
George started to drift away. "The next person that wakes me up...will be drown. I promise." She muttered. Georgina Umbram meant it!

[MORNING AFTER]
Lily awoke earlier than anyone in the nurse's office, and slipped outside after checking to see that they were both alive. That was vital. She still felt terrible about everything that had happened, and even though George tried very hard to reassure her that it wasn't her fault, she couldn't help but feel that it was. She needed to think, to sort things out, and she couldn't do it in there. NO, not with the nurse bustling to and fro, asking strange questions, and the look of helplessness on the Coach's face. She couldn't think.
So she quietly slipped down the hall, glad that no one usually got up this early . She was headed to the one place she knew she would be able to think, it had never failed her before. She walked silently into the library, avoiding the watchful and never sleeping eye of the librarian and walked past the many bookshelves to the back of the library. She didn't even check [which can give you a VERY EASY in on the rp here Zep...] to see if anyone was in the other chairs in the back of the library, she just sank into one, resuming her position. Her hands clung tight to her knees, which were now up to her chest. Her navy blue converse were so small and clean that they didn't make a mess of any sort on the chair. Her head rested on her knees wearily as she mulled through her thoughts. Her hair once again covered the entirety of her face, making it virtually impossible for any lookers-on to see if she was crying. But who would be in the library this early anyways?!
She replayed the scene over and over in her mind. The Coach slowly bent down and grabbed them both by their collars, twisting their shirts and raising their feet off of the ground. The sudden warmth of his skin against Lily's almost always freezing skin was an alarming fact and Lily's eyes grew wide in horror, and red in hatred. The coach slowly began to look as if someone had lit him aflame, red cracks seemed to begin to encase his body. Lily and George were screaming for him to let go, but he couldn't, he was too weak. All of a sudden Lily could feel moisture on her neck, and she dropped to the floor with a crash as George used the last bit of her energy to create a shield to block Lily's skin from touching Coach Alex's.
Lily couldn't help but wonder, What had she done to deserve this?![/b]

George's head hurt. Opening her eyes to see the blaring white on white walls of the nurse's office just made it worse. She groaned and immediately thought of Lily. "Lily?" She called out, swinging her legs over the side of her cot. Coach was still sleeping she guessed, but didn't look into it. He'd probably just wake up and yell at her. Gym teachers are jerks...
She yawned and stretched. "I guess I'm going to the Library..." George muttered. She would be there. That was her sanctuary. She didn't know how Lily put up with the library craning her neck and looking down her nose at her. Or maybe it was just George she did that too...
George walked demurely down to the Library. She whistled an easygoing tune. She seemed diffident about the happenings of yesterday, and she kind of was. What happened, happened and there not much she could do about. She destroyed the kitchen, and everyone would probably be eating cold sandwiches for months. But, eh.
Walking past the librarian, to Lily's favorite spot, George stopped whistling, as she noticed Lily hugging her knees. "Hey Lil," She grinned. She probably looked disheveled and tired, but she hoped she still looked friendly. She didn't blame Lily for anything. Stuff happens. There nothing you can do about it but move on and make the best of it.

"Hey Lil," she heard a familiar voice say, interrupting her thoughts and pondering.
Lily looked up, she probably looked like crap. She had been crying forever, hadn't had much sleep at all last night, and was still feeling guilty. Her large blue eyes seemed to hold the oceans inside them, or so it seemed. Lily hated being this broken, hated anyone seeing her like it, but George was her friend, so it didn't matter as much.
"I almost killed him George........ I can feel more than half of his life seeping through my veins......." she said in a weak voice that crackled occasionally from all of the crying. "I almost killed him, and I couldn't do anything about it....... you almost killed yourself trying to save him, usuing up all your energy like that........ I'm just like my mom used to say... a waste of space......." one sad, lonely tear rolled slowly down her cheek. This had been one of the lowest points in her life.
She continued to hug her knees to her chest, though her head looked up at George. The little bit of eyeliner she wore was almost gone, and her face was red, her eeys puffy. She truly was a mess. She looked as if she needed a hug...... but with her, hugs were deadly.

George frowned. "a waste of space...." What mother would say that to their child... any child? Lily looked so distraught. She looked like she needed a hug. George looked at the sleeves of her t-shirt. Words can only be so comforting. She sat on the arm of the chair and carefully draped her arm over Lily's shoulder.
"You are most certainly not a waste of space." What could she really say to comfort someone would kill a person with a handshake? "I - we all make mistakes. Yesterday those mistakes could have been lethal. There's no getting around that. Everyone is alive though. But if anything that should make you want to get a handle on your power. "
George looked towards the bookshelves, then back to the top of Lily's head. George raised her free hand to Lily's face. She hesitated, drawing the tears to her hands and then placed a shielded finger under Lily's chin, forcing the girl to face her. Not knowing how long it would last she pulled away. "I did not almost kill myself, and I resent you saying that." She said in a pouting grin.

As soon as George put her arm around Lily tears began to well in her eyes. She didn't dare move for fear that she might hurt her, but sometimes actions spoke louder than words.
"You are most certainly not a waste of space. I - we all make mistakes. Yesterday those mistakes could have been lethal. There's no getting around that. Everyone is alive though. But if anything that should make you want to get a handle on your power. "
"George, you don't understand. There is no "getting ahold" of it.... they touch my skin I drain their life. I have no choice or say in the matter.... my body does it naturally. There is no way to turn it on or off. Trust me, I've tried. The only reason you may think I show no interest in the matter is because I'm slightly laid back, but believe me, ever since I watched my father die at my own hand I have researched, and tried my best to find someone to calm down the beast inside...... and it just can't be done...... I've spent five years trying to find someway to stop it......" she said, looking down at the ground sadly. George may have thought she didn't want to harness her power, but the real truth in the matter was that she couldn't.....
Suddenly George's hand appeared in front of Lily's face. A slightly warm sensation pulsated throughout Lily's body as George touched her skin, protected by water. She felt her head dragged upward to face George, and then the sensation was gone just as fast as it had come. She had touched her.... and yet she was perfectly fine....
"I did not almost kill myself, and I resent you saying that." George said, pouting playfully.
Lily couldn't see how through all of this George still had her sense of humor. It astounded Lily. "I'm sorry......." she said softly, her head returning back to it's position of staring thoughtfully at the floor. "Sometimes....." she said, changing the subject. "I wonder what it would be like if I had another power........ If I'd have a boyfriend by now, way more friends.......... A family........ And sometimes..... sometimes I'm glad I've been cursed, otherwise I probably wouldn't have a good of a friend as you...." she said softly.

George listened to Lily's soft voice. She was so sad and understandably. It made George want to squirm. She hated feel depressed, and helpless, and lost. She liked to be in control of her life. Sh could only imagine what that was like for Lily.
"I wonder what it would be like if I had another power........ If I'd have a boyfriend by now, way more friends.......... A family........ And sometimes..... sometimes I'm glad I've been cursed, otherwise I probably wouldn't have a good of a friend as you...."
George's jaw clenched. Well really if George hadn't stuck up for Lily they wouldn't be having this conversation. She felt bad that Lily was putting all the blame on herself. But George hid that inner turmoil and plastered on a grin. "Come on Lily! Don't think about it too hard." She winked. "I'm sure we'll get in even more trouble today!" She popped up and made a show of sniffing her armpits.
"But first we should shower..."
