"Unless of course we decide to try out this theory of ours.... but that's not very likely, is it?"
George rolled her eyes again. "Again with the negativity..." she sighed. "My ideas are usually good ones..."
She could see the Java Junkie. "You know if you die your red, people would call you 'Red' for a completely different reason. George commented idly. She ran her fingers through her hair, which just stuck up on her head, and began to whistle that eerie tune from Kill Bill "Twisted Nerve". It was one of her favorite songs from one of her favorite movies.
Even if it was creepy...

"Again with the negativity..." George rolled her eyes, and let out a soft sigh. "My ideas are usually good ones..."
Lily laughed. "Yes but I'd rather not accidentally kill you why trying out your idea....." she said, smiling softly.
"You know if you die your red, people would call you 'Red' for a completely different reason." George commented.
Lily shrugged. "I'm not really sure if I'd look good as a red head... besides I like my hair.... You know it wasn't always this way. No, when I turned ten and found out my powers... the highlights just sort of appeared over night....... It was rather odd actually.."
George began to whistle a song that Lily had never heard of. She shrugged slightly and opened the door to Java Junkie, holding it open behind her for George to come through. She walked closer to the counter, and began to read over the menu. She wasn't sure what she was going to get, it all sounded really good.

George snorted and stopped whistling. "You are odd," she said. Walking up to the counter, George placed her order. She had never been to the Java Junkie, but she knew what she wanted. She noticed Lily, reading the menu and sighed. "I'm going to take you to a place where words don't exist. That way I won't have to worry about you reading and all the nonsense." She grinned widely and collected her drink.

Lily heard a small snort behind her as George ceased to whistle, obviously she thought it was weird. "You are odd," she said as she walked up to the counter. Yep, you got that right....... I really am odd, aren't I? Lily shrugged off the comment and kept looking over the menu. She didn't have the slightest clue what to order.
"I'm going to take you to a place where words don't exist. That way I won't have to worry about you reading and all the nonsense."
Lily laughed softly. "George, I haven't the slightest clue what you are talking about....." she walked up to the counter and ordered a smoothie. She didn't want to buy a coffee drink, try it, and hates its guts. That would be a waste of money. She smiled softly and got her smoothie, sipping it delightedly as she sat down at a small table.

George followed Lily to a table. After sitting she propped her legs up and let her feet dangle off the side. "I talking about you reading. You read the whole menu. Now you'll probably read your cup and then the content list in your drink." She took a long swig of her drink.
Looking around, George saw no one from their school. This would be the best time to extract what Lily like in a guy. And yes George was making it her sole purpose in life to hook Lily up. No was not a option. George probably didn't understand the meaning of no. She grinned wickedly at the unsuspecting girl.
"So Lils, what's your type? Do you like 'em All-American, or foreign and exotic?" Man! the caffeine was already getting to her... "Do you like the shy and unassuming type or the bold and confident type? Don't you even dare blush and try to brush it off, either!" George said narrowing her eyes, the crazy grin still on her face.

Lily laughed and shrugged off her comment, taking a drink of her smoothie. It was quite good actually. "Nah, I don't need to. I already know what's in a strawberry smoothie......." she grinned.
"So Lils, what's your type? Do you like 'em All-American, or foreign and exotic?"[/color] Maybe Java Junkie wasn't such a good idea.... George seemed to be growing more hyper with each sip of her drink. "Do you like the shy and unassuming type or the bold and confident type? Don't you even dare blush and try to brush it off, either!"
She had already made it so Lily couldn't escape the question by assuming her next move. She sighed. "Why do you want to know so bad? I mean.... I really don't know if I have a "type" I've never really been that interested in guys before...... I guess they just have to be nice.. and accept me for me...." she said with a shrug. She bent her head low as she took a sip of her drink. She had felt a bit of color coming to her cheeks, and she really didn't want George to see.

George spotted the blush Lily tried to hide. Come on she was quicker than that! She scoffed. "One of us should be getting some," she whispered. Oh no emo! George was rearing her head. She lowered her own head to get her act together.
"Come on Lils," She smiled, looking back up. "There's got to be more than that. If we go on someone that accept you for you, we'll end up with a bum of the street." George gave an exasperated sigh. "Come on you could at least play along."
George's comical face brighten. "Ooo could pretend we are the popular kids at school and gossip! It'll be fun. You go first!" She grinned at Lily and waited to see what she said.

"One of us should be getting some," she heard George whisper. But seeming as it was a whisper, Lily figured that george hadn't wanted her to hear that. So she made no comment.
She looked back up at the now smiling George. "Come on Lils, There's got to be more than that. If we go on someone that accept you for you, we'll end up with a bum of the street." George obviously was not going to give up on this one. "Come on you could at least play along." she added, sighing softly.
Lily laughed softly. "Well I suposse they would have to chew with their mouth closed.... it irks me beyond all reason when people don't. And be gentalmanly..... and be somewhat cute, tho that's only just a plus......" The thought just dawned on her, and she put a hand across her now-gaping mouth. She had practically just described someone she had just met.... it was rather odd... "And they could be cocky, but not very...." she added in a softer voice, her thoughts somewhere else.
"Ooo could pretend we are the popular kids at school and gossip! It'll be fun. You go first!"
Lily laughed. She really didn't know the first thing about gossiping, she had never been one to pay attention to the preps. She preferred to ignore them. "Uhm.... I really dunno what to gossip about. I haven't heard anything intresting, though I have actually tried to be friendly to people, like you orderred..." she let out a soft giggle. George was somewhat, Lily's dictator. She always tried to push Lily to do what was best.... or well just tried to make her do something...

George snickered. "Sounds like you already got someone in mind." George raised her eyebrow, grinning.
"Uhm.... I really dunno what to gossip about. I haven't heard anything intresting, though I have actually tried to be friendly to people, like you orderred..."
Ordered? George rolled her eyes. "Ordered, Lils? I have not ordered you to do anything." She slid her legs of the table and leaned forward, with a very serious face. "Suggested rather forcefully is more like it..." George grinned. The extroverted teen just wanted Lily to see what was going on around her. Lily would miss everything if she stayed in the library.
"Anyway, tell me about your new friends" She said, taking another swig of her coffee.

"Sounds like you already got someone in mind." George said, grinning, and raising her eyebrow.
GET OUT OF MY HEAD! she thought, slightly aggitated that she was so easy to read. She was like a book......
"Ordered, Lils? I have not ordered you to do anything." For a moment Lily was scared that she had made George angry. But when another grin broke out, she knew she hadn't. "Suggested rather forcefully is more like it..." Lily immeadiately started laughing. "More like, a LOT forcefully..."
"Anyway, tell me about your new friends."
"well I'm not sure I would consider him a friend... more of an aquintance His name is Atticus.. and I met him in the kitchen the other day..." she said rather vaguely. Not mentioning how kind he was, or how she thought his accent was rather charming.

"well I'm not sure I would consider him a friend... more of an acquaintance [that's how you spell it XD] His name is Atticus.. and I met him in the kitchen the other day..."
"Frenchie!" George exclaimed. The coffee and sugar was starting to buzz in the back of her head. "I know of him, French accent, charming personality, would cook for the whole school..." Grinning like she usually did, George wagged her eyebrows. "Ya like him?"
George shook her head, before Lily could respond and went on a sort of rate. "You can't fall for every mutant you meet, Lils. If you do, then people would walk all over you." She stopped herself. "I should NOT drink coffee," she smiled sheepishly.

"Frenchie! I know of him, French accent, charming personality, would cook for the whole school.. Ya like him?" She didn't even wait for a response, but continued on. You can't fall for every mutant you meet, Lils. If you do, then people would walk all over you."
At once Lily knew she shouldn't have spoken of him... She blushed a deep crimson and stared at her hands. "No------" she stammered. "He's just a friend..." she sighed softly. "And i know I can't......... Besides, not every guy I meet is nice so why would I like them?"
"I should NOT drink coffee,"
She sighed again, and took another sip of her drink. "I know... that's why we are never, ever, ever coming here again..." she mumbled.
But still she felt as if she should defend herself....... to show George how nice he was... "I mean.... I was really hungry, and I walked into the kitchen... and he was fixing crepes. And I sighed, cause I had to ssettle for Coco Puffs cause they were out of Fruit Loops... and then I couldn't reach the bowl.... But he offered to get it down with his powers of telekinesis.... And then he offered me a Crepe instead.... and Even though I felt like I was intruding, my stomach threatened to eat me...... So I took him up on his offer, and we got to talking, and he was really sympathetic that the other kids were so evil about my powers... he was really nice...." she rambled, totally lost her train of thought as she continued to describe it to George.... maybe she did like this guy.

George listened to Lily rambling. It calmed her down a bit. "He's a friend to me if he fed you actually food instead of flakes of sugar!" George grinned with another sip of her drink.
Lily was making friends. Thanks to her relentless prodding, Lily was actually smiling and introducing herself, rather than letting the other students gossip about her. "I like it here, the coffee, the atmosphere..." She felt another buzz from the caffeine. Shaking her head, George held it back all the random things she might say.
"Anyone else?" George twitched.

"He's a friend to me if he fed you actually food instead of flakes of sugar!" She said, grinning and taking another sip of hr coffee.
Lily laughed softly. "I never eat flakes of sugar!!!!!! I eat LOOPS of sugar... gosh.. get it right..." she joked, and then poked George's forhead.
"I like it here, the coffee, the atmosphere..."
Lily shook her head. "Too bad we are never coming back. Coffee is bad for you, fool! You turn all nutty... and odd....." she joked again, giggling softly. She was really starting to lighten up a bit around George.
"Anyone else?"
"Yeah, a guy names Ascher.... which YOU got me stuck talking to! I was trying to avoid him, and there you go, ruining my fake plans of going to the kitchen.... and then I have to stay and talk to him,..... cause for some reason I couldn't refuse.... Agh. That guy just irks me for some reason... he seems so Cocky!!!" she said, agitated. She took another sip of her smoothie. She was beginning to feel as if someone had put caffienne in her drink... she was getting a little hyper. It was an odd sensation.. she normally was never hyper.

"I never eat flakes of sugar!!!!!! I eat LOOPS of sugar... gosh.. get it right..."
George went cross-eyed as she watched Lily's gloved had poke in the middle of her forehead. She scowled, but let it slide, taking another sip of her drink. "All the sugar you eat, it's a wonder you're not shivering in a corner somewhere," George muttered.
"Too bad we are never coming back. Coffee is bad for you, fool! You turn all nutty... and odd....."
Pouting a very real pout, George looked to Lily with puppy dog eyes. "I'm always nutty and odd..."
George noted Lily's agitation when she spoke about Ascher. George thought he was an arrogant prat, but thanked him for inadvertently ripping her friend out of her shell. Even if it was kinda scary. Lily was a breath away from foaming at the mouth.
Well not really, that was just George's caffeine ridden brain overreacting. Lily would probably never foam at the mouth...she was too shy to just let it all loose.
