He stood up, walked next to her chair, and crouched down."Look, I don't see a problem, you won't harm me, heck, I was almost stabbed once, but I didn't get a scratch on me. And if anything is to happen, it'll be my fault, and my fault on my own." He said. At this point he just really wanted to help her. She seemed deppressed, something that he didn't like seeing.

He seemed really concerned. She looked down at him as he crouched beside her chair. [AND BAM! She kissed him....... bwahahahaha XD not really... or not yet at least....... though that would be something to help you go, un-brain-dead tehehe]
She then looked down at her hands. "Promise it won't hurt you?" She asked. It was odd... She had just met James, but she felt as if she'd known him her whole life. As if he were a really, really good old friend. She carefully slipped off her gloves, reavealing exceptionally pale, but elegant fingers. She then looked back down at him. "Promise......" she said softly. Her smile had vanished, replaced by worry.

"Promise." He said, a large smile plastered on his face. He had noticed that she was taking off her gloves, the perfect time to actually activate his powers. And so he did. "No worries alright? I'll be perfectly fine."

He nodded. He could tell she was worried, but he really had this desperate need to help her. Just to see her not as deppressed.

"Promise. No worries alright? I'll be perfectly fine." He said, smiling charmingly. It somehow reassured her, especially the second nod.
She bit her lip worriedly, and turned to him, holding out her hand. He could take it if he wanted to. He didn't have to, and a part of her wished he wouldn't take the risk. She didn't know if her power could penetrate forcefields. But another part of her wanted him to. She wanted to know what it felt like to touch someone, and them not die or pass out.

He could tell she was nervous...no, worried. "Look, there is no need to worry, everythin will be alright" .She held out her hand to him. He took it softly. Suprisingly, by the way she was saying how bad her powers were, he thought he would feel something, but he didn't. He stood up and still had his hand grasped in hers.
"I told you it was alright," he said with a charming smile. " You just worry way too much." He added.

"I told you it was alright, You just worry way too much." he said with a brilliant smile. Lily could swear tears were in her eyes. Her hands were actually warm for once..... It was all so surreal. She couldn't believe it had worked.
She got up and hugged him, which probably looked quite odd, seeming as he was a good six inches taller than her. She then sat back down, rather embarassed. Her cheeks had turned a light pink, which was actually quite refreshing seeming as she was always so pale. She smiled softly, staring at her hands, disbelieving.

He did it, he finally made her happy. That's all he needed for some reason. Although, when he was hugged, that was unexpected. He smiled, that's all he had been doing lately. She had gone back to her seat, but he soon got closer. " So...are you alright now?" He asked. He found she was cute, especially when she blushed, but at this point in time, he didn't really want to say anything.

She nodded, smiling softly she looked up at him. He was rather charming, and he had made her day ten times better.... heck she had made her life a bit better.... You could not possibly know how hard it was to go six years without human interaction, and not only that, but the fear that you would actually touch someone and end up killing them.
" So...are you alright now?" he asked, his smile being it's infectious self and so Lily's spread as she nodded.
"I'm really glad I took the only copy of To Kill a Mockingbird that the library had left...... You don't know how much better you've made my day...." she said softly, her blue eyes seeming to try and relay a thousand thank yous.

That was all he wanted, for her to smile. For some reason he just needed for her to smile, and now that she did, it made his day. He stopped his power, seeing that he didn't need it anymore. If she were to ask again, he wanted to have enough energy to actually do it.

"I'm glad too. If you hadn't taken it, and I hadn't met you, I would never had go to see your beatiful smile." He said. He blushed after noticing what he just said, oh crap she must think I'm weird. He thought.

He must've felt embarassed because he began to blush. It only made her smile that much more, a faint pink rising to her cheeks once more. "Thank you....I don't hear that often.... I suposse I usually don't have that much of a reason to smile alot.." she carefully picked the gloves up off of the table and put them back on.
It was weird. Even though her body stayed the temperature it normally was, her hands now felt a little bit warmer... It was as if he was still holding her hand.

Because once you start to smile, it causes others to smile, it makes me feel better when they do." He said. He hoped that made sense, he didn't want to start rambling again. She was in the library...again. In the short time she had known Lily she had spent more time in the library than she had her whole life! Every time she came here she forgot what she was looking for. It was probably the abundance of knowledge but more likely the abundance of boredom. George was pretty sure she was looking for Lily, because...because...
"Microbial Genetics?" George pondered the title and almost reached out to grab it but shook her head. "I'm here for something, I know!" She frowned and wandered through the library. Lily should be somewhere in here. Maybe she could help.
"Yeah..... you've got one brilliant infectious smile, by the way...And if it makes you feel better... I'll try and smile more."
George heard Lily's voice. Who was the little Birdie talking to? She rose an eyebrow, and grinned evilly. Rounding a corner she spied Lily talking to a tall guy. "Hmmmm This trip to the Library is becoming curioser and curiouser." Her nose twitched. "Well, call me Curious George!"
"Believe it or not, not alot of kids at school like me all that much..."
"Hey!" George cried indignantly, popping out from the bookshelves. "I'd like to think that I, your first friend, did an excellent job of socializing you and getting you to make new friend. I am even willing to take credit for you speaking with this strapping young man here!" George said loudly, ignoring the Librarians shushing.
She walked up to the pair and noticed Lily's blushing. George gasped. "Moving on so quickly! It seems just yesterday you were in love with Frenchie and were trapped in a love-hate relationship with Soot or Ashcan or whatever..." She pretended to get teary eyed. "I'm so proud..."
