Lily stared uncomfortably at her hands. She hadn't the slightest clue what they had said to eachother, and it bothered her alot.
She felt James shift over closer to her on the couch and felt the warmth of his breathingon his neck as he leaned in closer, obviously wanting to tell her something in private. "Lily...er..w-would you like to...um..," he stuttered nervously in her ear. "go out with me sometime?" he finished, and then scooted back over.
So that was what George said!? She wondered if maybe he did this because George told him to, or maybe it was because he wanted to... Did he really like her?! She felt a blush rising to her cheeks, but for once she wasn't afraid of it.. She didn't lower her head trying to hide it. She scooted over to him, her leg inches away from his.
She leaned in, and whispered softly, "I would like that very much...." She wondered if George could hear... but she didn't really care. At this point, she was too happy to worry about what George thought. She then scooted back over to where she sat, and sat up, her hands folded in her lap. For once she wasn't hiding her face.

He closed his eyes, waiting for her reaction. He felt and heard movement from the couch, and Lily's soft voice speak up.
"I would like that very much...."
He smiled broadly. He had to hug her now, he just had to. Quickly he put up his barrier and basically tackled her. He was excited, but he was going to be tired for the rest of the day, that's for sure. He quickly pecked her on the cheek, then went back to his original position sitting. He mumbled a ,"sorry," with a blush on his face.
He lowered his barrier and sighed. Now that that was done with,he needed to think of a place to meet. The first thing that popped into his mind was the park...but then remembered what happened when he first brought it up. Then a good idea came to him, but first he had to find out when she was free.
"...Lily," he started, "you think tomorrow is good? Or are you going to be doing something tomorrow."

George was either incredibly evil or simply too curious. Most likely a bit of both. She crept back into the room, just in time to see Jimmy Crack Corn tackle Lily on the couch. She stopped herself from squealing with excitement. All that guff about him not liking her. That just nipped in it the bud.
Once Jimmy had sat up, George entered the room again. "HA! 'What are you talking about George?' You guys aren't fooling anybody!" George plopped down on the couch again. She had almost forgotten about her surprise for them. With all the excitement, who could blame her? George had gone through pains to get it for them.
She grinned and laced her fingers behind her head again. "I have a gift for you two. I'm sure you'll like. If you're not doing anything tomorrow, then this will be perfect." George hummed "Think of Me" and rocked a bit, as she dazed into space. Then like she had just remembered to get the gift, she dug into the side pocket of her pants and pulled out a envelope. "Here's two tickets to "Phantom of The Opera"." She smiled and handed it Lily.
Hopefully they wouldn't ask her how she got them...

Lily was really surprised when he tackled her. She giggled happily and then beamed as he kissed her on the cheek. She placed her hand gently on hic cheek and kissed him lightly, and then backed up, blushing furiously. She didn't really care that George had probably seen everything.
He scooted back to his side of the couch, and looked sort of embarassed... though he shouldn't be. "...Lily, you think tomorrow is good? Or are you going to be doing something tomorrow."
She nodded. "Tomorrow is great...... I do--" but she was cut off as George hopped over the couch. "HA! 'What are you talking about George?' You guys aren't fooling anybody!" George said happily, a large grin on her face. "I have a gift for you two. I'm sure you'll like. If you're not doing anything tomorrow, then this will be perfect."
Lily looked at George with a shocked expression on her face. "Here's two tickets to "Phantom of The Opera"." She said, handing the tickets to Lily. Lily looked at her happily. "Omigosh George! That's amazing! Thanks so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" she probably would've hugged her if her powers could've killed her for doing so.... She looked at James, still beaming. "What do you think?!"

Lily kissed him, and his eyes widened abit, but then he smiled. When they were back were they were previously sitting she spoke up.
"Tomorrow is great...... I do--" She started but were soon cut off. "HA! 'What are you talking about George?' You guys aren't fooling anybody!" George said. James was going to try and come back with a witty comeback, maybe that'll leave them alone, but before he did, George spoke up. "I have a gift for you two. I'm sure you'll like. If you're not doing anything tomorrow, then this will be perfect."
He noticed that she dug in her pocket, and pulled out tickets."Here's two tickets to "Phantom of The Opera"." George handed the tickets to Lily, and James smiled widely.
James stood up."Thank you so much George." He said a large smile on his face. He resisted the urge to hug her right then and there. If he had no self control, well, it would have been bad for George. He wondered where she got the tickets though, but since she said no to ask he wasn't.

Lily looked at the tickets. "George! These seats are amazing..... They must have cost a fortune!" she exclaimed, looking at the great orchestra seats that were on the ticket. Lily had never been to a play, but she knew that orchestra seats meant the floor, and the floor was always the best place to sit in a production like this. Lily was definately excited. She had heard some of the Phantom of the Opera music, and it was incredible....
James stood up to say something. ."Thank you so much George." he had a large, wonderful smile on his face. Lily wanted to hug him... But she was almost positive his shield wasn't up. So she restrained. She just smiled at both of them. George really was wonderful.

"George! These seats are amazing..... They must have cost a fortune!"
George felt a surge of guilt. They didn't cast her a fortune. Her mother was very much into the Opera. And while she did like to go, going alone was not as fun. Her mother had offered to get her some tickets and George had gave some noncommittal grunt of an answer, not really expecting her mother to buy them for her lack of enthusiasm . When they did come, she had a sudden feeling of homesickness. She of course would never divulge this to anyone though.
"Thank you so much George."
"No problem guys, it was no more work than a thought really." She grinned. With a sigh and a heave, George got off the couch and stretched. "Hopefully, this'll make up for my insane behavior." She winked and started to leave once more.

James was extremly happy now. Instead of asking to meet in the city for a small dinner, or something close to that, they were actually going to go to the theater, to watch "Phantom of The Opera", nonetheless. He really couldn't say anything at this point. All he could really say was Thank you repeatedly.
He heard something beep, then looked at his watch. "What the," he mumbled to himself then remembered something. He smacked his forehead with frustration, he didn't want to but he had to. "I'm sorry, I have to go and get the rest of my things. I heard that they might be giving are dorms anyway so..." this really bugged him, he wanted to speak with Lily more but, well, he couldn't just blow this off.
He walked to the door then remembered something."Lily, can we meet at the Java Junkie? We'll go from there to the show alright?" He seriously didn't want to go, but what was he to do. Once he was to hear her answer, he would leave.

Lily was in shock... She couldn't believe it. She had heard that the Phantom of the Opera was a very good play.... She was extremely excited. A small beep broke through the silence. "What the," she heard James say, and then he smacked his forehead. "I'm sorry, I have to go and get the rest of my things. I heard that they might be giving are dorms anyway so..." He looked frustrated... He obviously didn't want to go.
"Oh.... Okay..... Do you need any help?" she asked timidly. She didn't want him to leave either...
He walked over to the door, and then turned to Lily. ."Lily, can we meet at the Java Junkie? We'll go from there to the show alright?" He really looked as if he wanted to stay.
Lily nodded politely. "Sounds wonderful.... I'll see you there.." she said, a large smile on her face.

"Lily, can we meet at the Java Junkie? We'll go from there to the show alright?"
George stopped mid-step and froze. The Java Junkie? Before an opera show. She shook her head. It had already been taken care of.
"Sounds wonderful.... I'll see you there.."
George frowned, as James left the room. "Er, James, wait!" She said walking after him. She had totally forgotten to tell them how they would be getting there. It was already planned out. And if they weren't here it wouldn't work. She brought James back. Looking at Lily, she smiled a little uneasily. "Urgh you won't be seeing him there..." she said nervously. This might be overkill but it was already done. "Um, when I decided to give you the tickets. I had my mom call in a favor to the nearby Limo company. The Limo will be here to pick you two up before the show."
She scratched the back of her head and sighed. "And you guys are going shopping before. And Lily is going to get a facial and the works." She was so embarrassed. George didn't really want people to know that she lived like this before she came here. Most of the mutants here had lived some awful conditions. That and it totally clashes with her personality. Who could guess that the rambunctious wild child that is George, lived such a privileged life?
That would totally ruin her rep...

"Er, James, wait!"
Once James heard his name was called he turned around, but only to be grabbed by George. He then found himself back in the common room. Why? He had no clue. He sighed, but only to hear George speak up again.
"Urgh you won't be seeing him there..."
This made him confused. Why wasn't he, weren't they just going to go there? He shook his head in confusion, but decided against speaking up.
"Um, when I decided to give you the tickets. I had my mom call in a favor to the nearby Limo company. The Limo will be here to pick you two up before the show."
Confusion was everywhere, a favor? What did she mean, how many hookups did she have? Although he was confused, excitement also filled his mind, making him not so wierded out about the fact that George was helping them with something so big.
"And you guys are going shopping before. And Lily is going to get a facial and the works."
This time he did speak up."Shopping?" He knew it was for clothes, but, why? He had clothes, nice clothes, what did she want him to go in a tuxedo? Most likely she would say yes so he shut up again. Then he remembered what she said last, and that made him wonder.
How did Lily look with make up...or even in a dress? He shook that thought out of his mind, and yet it still lingered there.

"Urgh you won't be seeing him there... Um, when I decided to give you the tickets. I had my mom call in a favor to the nearby Limo company. The Limo will be here to pick you two up before the show."Lily gaped at George. A limo?! Lily had never even seen a limo, let alone been in one.... It was different.... She didn't know what to expect. "I-----" she started, but was cut off again by George. "And you guys are going shopping before. And Lily is going to get a facial and the works."Lily was sure she appeared like one of those cartoon characters, with her jaw dropping to the floor... It was amazing.... incredible, and unexpected! How exactly did George come up with all of this?! How did she know that they would need all this?! How did she get all of this?!!!!!!!!!!!!! ?!?!?!?!?! "Shopping?" James' voice broke her thoughts. But he spoke up for her too. She had no clue what to wear for a play...... Maybe shopping was a good idea.. but a facial?! And what exactly was the works?! Makeup had never been Lily's thing anyways... A little bit of eyeliner and Lily was fine... She looked at George, a bewildered look on her face. She just had the biggest epiphany of all. How are you supossed to act on a date?! What in the world would happen?! Was she supossed to dress up all fancy like? And what exactly did she look like in a dress?! Lily had never worn a dress before..... ever. It had always been a long sleeve shirt, and pants... That was all.. Just to make sure no one got hurt... But a dress?!! As pale as Lily was before, it didn't even compare to Lily now... She could've been considered whiter than paper.... "Makeup? A dress?!" she said, bewildered. She wasn't even thinking.. it just came out of her mouth. "Shopping? A limo?" These were all luxuries that Lily had never had... Wasn't used to at all. She couldn't do this.... She couldn't be in a dress, and be that pretty girl who pops out of limos.... She wasn't that girl. She had seen them around before... She didn't even compare. She was pale.... and didn't wear makeup.. Her skin had never seen the sunlight at all.. She didn't even think that anyone had ever seen her arms, or below, or above her knees before... She simply couldn't do this. She sat down on the couch, and lowered her head, her hands clasping it in confusion.

"Shopping?" and "Makeup? A dress?! Shopping? A limo?" was what she heard. George was very close to blushing. She hadn't really expected them to be excited. Not with them being the shy individuals they are. She had expected them to badger her about how all these things we possibly. George didn't really know. All she knew was that the shopkeepers and what not would know who she was and would act accordingly.
Lily and James seemed distraught and upset. George hoped they would decline the offer, she just wanted to do something nice for them. "Er, if you don't want to go, it's no problem." She rubbed her foot on the back of her other leg. "I thought you would enjoy it, so I went to extremes. It must be a facet of my personality..." She grinned apologetically.
It probably was ridiculous that she would do something so big for a friend and her new boyfriend. But they deserved it. And if George could do anything for them, she would. She hoped they understood that...

"Er, if you don't want to go, it's no problem.I thought you would enjoy it, so I went to extremes. It must be a facet of my personality..."
James was suprised...she went through those extremes? He was glad that she had done this for them, but...somehow, it felt weird. How was she able to get all this stuff, and then it's not her getting it, it's how quickly she got it. Like the limo, she called her mother...and then, they got it.
He looked over to Lily, she looked...a bit confused, but he couldn't really tell due to the fct that she covered her face. But now, he was to tell George. "To tell you the truth, at this point, I am extremely happy, you don't know how much I want to thank you right now," he said, a soft smile on his face. "But right now, since you know how I feel about this matter...I'd say it's all up to Lily now." He said.
He wasn't going to speak up for Lily, he wasn't really sure what her take on the matter was, and he did not want to put words in her mouth, so he waited, just simply waited.

There were words... words spoken around Lily. But she didn't hear any of them... Anything that James or George had said... She didn't hear it. She was so confused... So confused that she couldn't take it all in, She didn't know how to act.. how to be one of those pretty girls who flaunted their looks and took everything with a gorgeous pearly white smile.... She couldn't handle it. She just knew she would be bad.. Bad at being beautiful, bad at wearing a dres.. Bad at going on a date..
James' voice broke through the confusion. "But right now, since you know how I feel about this matter...I'd say it's all up to Lily now." They were both looking at her... She could feel it. She could feel their hot stares on her hidden face.
She took the hands from her face and then looked up at them, her face paper white, and her eyes gigantic. "I can't---- I can't do this---- I can't be pretty, I can't wear a dress..... I haven't the slightest clue how to act on a date!" she said. She had a huge headache... One so big that it felt as if her head was splitting open. If under any other circumstance, She would've probably turned beet red, very embarassed by her outburst...
But she couldn't think, all of her thoughts seemed to spill from her mouth.. Of how she probably wouldn't look good in a dress... How makeup would probably make her so ugly that James would hate her forever... How she could never be as pretty as those girls... Those rich girls that come out of the huge limos.... It all spilled out.... And she couldn't do anything about it. It seemed as if any thought that Lily had ever kept inside her all of those years burst from her lips.. Maybe this was why people always said to never keep it all bottled up...
