"To tell you the truth, at this point, I am extremely happy, you don't know how much I want to thank you right now...But right now, since you know how I feel about this matter...I'd say it's all up to Lily now."
"I can't---- I can't do this---- I can't be pretty, I can't wear a dress..... I haven't the slightest clue how to act on a date!"
George felt horrible. She looked to James apologetically. She wasn't sure of what to say. Of course Lily would be beautiful. George was positive that James would like her, no matter what happened on the date. But Lily was so insecure, she wasn't sure if words would reach her. George rubbed her forehead, which was gross because her palms were all sweaty.
She cleared her throat. "Lily, you will be beautiful. James will think you are the most amazing being ever. Nothing will go wrong. James will be dapper and he like you even if you trip and tumble down a flight of stairs..." George knocked on wood at that. She didn't want Lily to get hurt.
Her legs were itching to move, she felt like she should be doing something. "I didn't want you to stress out about anything. That's why I did all this. Well, it wasn't really work, I just picked up the phone and made a few calls." George rocked on the balls of her feet. "I want you to have a good time."
She gave a grin. "Now, if James would confirm everything I just said, I'm sure you'll be more comfortable about it, Lily."

"I can't---- I can't do this---- I can't be pretty, I can't wear a dress..... I haven't the slightest clue how to act on a date!"
Why did she feel like this, he didn't understand. To him, she was far beyond pretty, and yet, she keeps doubting herself. He wanted to speak up, he didn't even know how to act on a date, figuring he had never been on one. He opened his mouth to speak, but then was cut off by George.
"Lily, you will be beautiful. James will think you are the most amazing being ever. Nothing will go wrong. James will be dapper and he like you even if you trip and tumble down a flight of stairs...
George continued to speak, and all he could do at this point was nod. But, a nod was not going to change anything. He sighed and sat next to Lily, not facing her, his hands on his lap. "Lily, what George said was true," he started, a smile coming on his face," No matter what...I...I still think you would be beautiful." He said. "Look, I don't know how to act on a date either...I have never been on one, but, all I know is that, I like you, just the way you are. You don't have to change." He said, sincerity in his words.

Lily rubbed her temples... She was freaking out, and she really really needed to stop. It was so embarassing.....
"Lily, you will be beautiful. James will think you are the most amazing being ever. Nothing will go wrong. James will be dapper and he like you even if you trip and tumble down a flight of stairs..." George said, trying to reassure Lily. Lily just looked at George, the whole time that she spoke. But then she started to panick.. What if she did fall down the stairs?! She was nutoriously clumsy....
George grinned after speaking more, that of which Lily didn't hear because she was too worried about the fact that she would probably fall down a flight of stairs... But she continued. "Now, if James would confirm everything I just said, I'm sure you'll be more comfortable about it, Lily."
Lily then looked to James, for he began to speak. "Lily, what George said was true," He smiled, and it seemed to pull apart all of her troubles. "No matter what...I...I still think you would be beautiful. Look, I don't know how to act on a date either...I have never been on one, but, all I know is that, I like you, just the way you are. You don't have to change."
She smiled softly. "Are you sure? I mean.... I've never been on a date... Heck I don't think I've ever worn a dress... Well maybe when I was six or something.... But not in a very long time...... I'm just afraid that you'll end up hating me after it all..." she said softly. Her bright blue eyes seemed as if they had turned into water... They were full of sadness as she looked up into his eyes. Since they had spoken, it seemed as if her mind had slowed... She could actually think properly for once.

George frowned. It wasn't her place to say anything. This was James' job to comfort his woman. Contrary to popular belief, George did understand personal boundaries. She took a couple of steps back. And leaned on the door frame. She didn't feel so nervous anymore, and didn't need to move.
"Let me know if you still want to go," George said softly, trying to be unobtrusive. She wasn't sure of what to say she wasn't a very comforting person. That's proven because James looks like someone just hit him with a frying pan every time she speaks or enters a room. She should probably be hugging and cooing at Lily, but that really wasn't her style. She was more an action person. She did things to fix situations. Hopefully, they would understand that she had good intentions.
(((No! This sucks)))

James sighed, this wasn't going to be easy. She, at this point, really looked down on herself. "Look, I won't hate you, you don't have to worry about it." He started, then smiled. "If I was to hate you, it would be either because I went extremly crazy, or I was brainwashed, which I doubt neither would happen." He said. "Look, most likely you'll look fine in a dress, so don't fret." He said, a grin on his face.

[[*BANG* we all die... ]]
Lily saw George out of the corner of her eye, walk over to the door... She was really liking George at the moment.. She couldn't believe that George was staying out of it.
Her attention focused back on James when he sighed. "Look, I won't hate you, you don't have to worry about it." His smile returned. "If I was to hate you, it would be either because I went extremly crazy, or I was brainwashed, which I doubt neither would happen. Look, most likely you'll look fine in a dress, so don't fret."He grinned, and that infectous grin caught on.. Lily couldn't help but smile.
She blushed a soft pink. "You better not get brainwashed... I'll be seriously upset..." she joked, smiling still. "I'm sorry I overreacted like that..." she said to both James, and George. "But I'd love to go, if you'd still like to James.... Only if George helps me with the dress and all of that other stuff... I wouldn't have a clue what I was doing....." she said truthfully.
She turned back to James, her sense of humor finally coming back, along with happiness. "And you must like me at least a little bit, seeming as you are still here and you tolerated all of my nuttiness....." she grinned.

"And you must like me at least a little bit, seeming as you are still here and you tolerated all of my nuttiness....."
George exhaled softly, she would never admit that she was holding her breath. Then she smiled. Lily had come to her senses. "I'm going with you, of course. I wouldn't do that to you, Birdie." George beamed at James. He was really alright. "Alright then, Jimmy Crack Corn and I will leave in the morning to get him ready. Then I'll come back for you Birdie. Then you guys have dinner at 6:30, and then the show."
She nodded. George was actually quite good at planning things. It was probably the only good thing about having such a hyperactive mind. "She has to be home by midnight James." George grinned at that ridiculous statement. But inside, she hoped that everything would go alright for them.
If anything did go wrong, they could just blame George...

She joked and smiled, a good sign, she was feeling better.
"But I'd love to go, if you'd still like to James.... Only if George helps me with the dress and all of that other stuff... I wouldn't have a clue what I was doing....."
"I'd love to go," he said warmly, then turned to George, "Thank you...thank you so much." He couldn't help himself, he was just too happy and overexcited at this point. George spoke but he didn't hear anything until she obviously was directing the comment to him.
"Alright then, Jimmy Crack Corn and I will leave in the morning to get him ready. Then I'll come back for you Birdie. Then you guys have dinner at 6:30, and then the show."
James twitched, why...why did she insist on calling him that. He sighed, but then smiled, "alright, I guess everything is settled then right?" He wanted to be absolute positive, he didn't really want anything to go wrong at this point.
"She has to be home by midnight James."
He nodded. He knew she was joking, but what the heck, why not follow along? [[crappeh]]

"alright, I guess everything is settled then right?" James said, that infectious smile still on his lips.
It caught on, and despite the nervousness instilled inside of her, Lily smiled also. She couldn't wait. It would be so much fun... and it wasn't so bad now that she knew George would help her get ready.
"Okay..... It sounds like fun... Though I'm still not entirely sure of how I'd look in a dress... But I guess we will just have to find out...": she said, ignoring George's new nickname for James... It was rather odd.
"She has to be home by midnight James." George said in mock seriousness. James just nodded, smiling still. Lily laughed softly. "Do you have enough strength to put up your barrier one more time?" she asked James. And after she made sure he had, she stood on her tip-toes, and wrapped her arms around his neck, hugging him tightly, though not really for she wasn't very strong.
She would've hugged George too, but unfortunately she would have to wait until Warner was around...

George turned away from Lily and James. She really didn't want to watch their semi-P.D.A. With a wry grin, George nodded. She was quite proud of herself. Managing to make two people fairly happy was a win in her book. She was going to slink out of there before she felt herself sink. Because while she was happy for Lily and James, the fact remained she was quite alone. Her nose twitched and nonchalantly made her way out of the Common Room, while Lily was wrapped around James. George started to whistle a sad tune and walk down the corridor. She'd never let Lily see her so down, she was very determined. George's problems were George's problems. And while she would gladly take on a friend's burden, George would never burden a friend. And she was ok with that.

"Okay..... It sounds like fun... Though I'm still not entirely sure of how I'd look in a dress... But I guess we will just have to find out..."
His smiled continued on. "I guess we will," he commented, still perturbed, and disturbed about Georges new nickname for him. What in the world goes through her mind? I mean...Jimmy Crack Corn? He shook his head, a small laugh coming out, but then the next comment from Lily got his attention.
"Do you have enough strength to put up your barrier one more time?"
He didn't really know, but he tried anyway. As every second went by, a headache grew, but the fact that she had hugged him unexpectedly suprised him, him forgetting about the headache for a minute. He quickly hugged her back, but he had to step back, oh how he hated the after effects of over use.
He put down the shield, and closed his eyes, taking a breather. Damn powers, he'd definintly try to work on that. He had looked around afterwards though, George had left. He wondered, and walked to the door. He heard whistling, but couldn't really tell where it came from. He sighed, she must have left.

"I guess we will," he commented, a small laugh following many seconds after. She wondered what could be going through his head...... Why couldn't she be a mind reader instead of a deadly person-who-can-kill-with-one-touch? She sighed, but her smile returned, she remembered how much he liked to see it...
She was happy when he hugged her back... but then he stepped back. She noticed the look of pain almost immeadiately, seeming as his brilliant smile had vanished. She sighed again. "I'm sorry.... that was very selfish of me....." she said in a soft tone. She then dug through her bag, and pulled out a bottle of Tylenol. "Here..." she said, holding out the bottle to him. "Take some.. and maybe they'll help..." There was a small hint of sadness in her voice.... The trained person who was adept to Lily's feelings could probably detect it easily... Heck anyone could. Lily unfortunately, seemed to wear her heart on her sleeve......
Suddenly she looked around, finally realizing that George had left.... She probably thought that her and James would be nausiating or something.. and vanished. But Lily couldn't help it.... She had just met James, but already she felt as if she could be herself around him... She was more energetic it seemed. And despite the fact that Lily had been fine all of those other years before... she felt as if she needed James..... It was odd, sort of like the relationship between Bella and Edward in the book that she had been reading.. Well the series. She had just finished Eclipse.Although she was the deadly one... not James. She sat down on the couch and stared at her hands contently, thinking it all over.....
